Yes, totally. Who would've thunk that we could have such an interesting conversation starting about being a Vegan then moving on to very weird dreams with blue plastic sticks and strange jedi in motorcycles with sidecars on a roadtrip.
It's pretty cool tho, gives us something to chat about at least. Besides strangness is just plain interesting

Yeah, and tornadoes full of spiders... It's indeed very far from the original subject, but it's cool. Maybe it wouldn't be as funny if I was able to have normal dreams just like my mother (she's so logical, everything she imagines could be real). I wonder if all that weirdness has something to do with watching too many SF and fantasy movies...

Well all things are possible. So don't count anything out. There are alot of things in the world that cannot be explained by logic for they simply are. But SciFi and fantasy movies rock hard so that makes them the best kinda movies

Veganotron In reply to phantomhunter [2008-05-24 22:34:00 +0000 UTC]
Oh, now that sounded interesting! Things that simply are... Do you have specific beliefs about that or is it more like a general philosophy to you? I don't believe logic and science have the answer to everything at all. As you say, there are things you can't explain but you know are there nonetheless, wether you understand them or not.
By the way, it's fun that you seem to like the same kinds of movies. Most of my friends think it's too weird (I think I had never used this word so often in my life! ), so when I'm with them they just watch comedies.

phantomhunter In reply to Veganotron [2008-05-24 23:17:03 +0000 UTC]
Well to be honest I belive in all sorts of things. I always thought that just about every myth would have some basis in fact, I mean some myths are pretty detailed. So it's basically a general philosophy for me
One of the best arguments for logic and science not being able to explain everything is the Bumblebee. No one has any idea how it is able to fly, but it does
Comedies are alright but something with Swords, all kinds of Magic, and weird creatures will beat a comedy anyday. I have allways liked fantasy movies, when I was a small child my favorite movies were Beastmaster, Transformers (the original), Star Wars, Conan, and Robocop. Yeah my parents let me watch anything I wanted, which was cool.
I guess I was an unusual kid, when I would go to the library I wasn't getting the normal kids books. I was check out books on archeology, dinosaurs, ancient Egypt, mythology, etc. More than once the librarian tried to convince me that I wouldn't be able to understand the book I was checking out. I was very smart and open minded tho so I understood them perfectly, or at least I read them till I did.

I'm still there!
Waaah! It's already been a month?!
I'm so sorry for not answering faster. It must have looked like I was abandoning you in the middle of this interesting conversation... I've been kind of busy lately, but I'm not bored yet (as long as you're not)!
Hold on, I'll try not to take another month to reply to your last comment!

Sure ya are, I know you totally abandoned me!! lol, just messing with ya.
Well if you're busy then you're busy, theres not much as can be done for it . But on the bright side you're not bored. I've been bored once or three times, but thats just from the lack of something productive to do. So overall no worries ^_^

Veganotron In reply to phantomhunter [2008-06-29 05:34:01 +0000 UTC]
Ah, great! I'm glad you're not holding a grudge against me for disappearing like that!
University was criminally hard this last session (we had a monstrously increased amount of work to do and we finished later because of a month-long strike ), so there were a lot of things I had put aside. For instance, I had accumulated a mountain of newspaper I hadn't had time to read and there were huge piles of old French books threatening to collapse everywhere in my room!
I still have to get rid of old useless stuff and to paint the walls, and I'm also trying to find a new job (and when I'm not, somebody has to keep an eye on the iguana so it doesn't get the silly idea to destroy the neighbor's garden or to get stuck in a tree again
).
At least, I have some time now to do other things on my computer than concentrate on five long novel analysis questions at the same time. It's just that my inboxes (on this site and YouTube) are always full, so it can take me a couple of days to reply to a new message... but I should be able to answer more often than once a month in the future!

Nah, I don't hold grudges...that offten anyways.
You sound as tho you are one busy busy busy person. yup yup I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that because you have french books and also I saw that you're from Quebec, that you speak french. Which is cool. I get excited over anyone being able to speak two languages.
Anyhoo I hope that you get some time to relaxe and have a breather. Too much work will drive you crazy, trust me on this. I went crazy once and got baned from a walden books for a whole week. Tho in my defence that leprechaun was provoking me.

Veganotron In reply to phantomhunter [2008-08-19 03:23:39 +0000 UTC]
Ah man, I did it again.
This time I have no excuse. Or wait, actually I do but it's not a very good one: I just haven't spent as much time on the computer because I've been reading a lot and watching movies in my spare time and doing a lot of things with my family, so messages accumulated in my inbox at the speed of dust (I was suddenly inspired to create a new expression here) and I take a lot of time to answer to each one... Sorry once more!
Send me a virtual knock knock on the head next time I forget to answer you! Sometimes I don't notice how fast the days pass...
A leprechaun, eh? You should have denounced it! Though I'm not sure it would have made your defense more convincing...
But you're right, I always have something to do and I know I'm often more busy than is necessary... I was never provoked by leprechauns, but I did start not to feel too well during my last year of highschool (because I had the stupid idea to take the chemistry, physics, biology and harder mathematics options in case I'd need all that, even though I knew I was terrible in math and therefore couldn't study natural science anyway).
My two following years of Cegep (I think you call that College) in Arts & Letters were stressful too, because I started to have some marks lower than my usual A+ and I was ridiculously afraid to fail. I believe it was time I stopped running, because everything I did seemed to start pointing out to that problem. (My health went down a little, forcing me to wonder what was wrong; also, I happened to be watching the fourth season of TMNT, in which Leo gave me quite a shock because my case was getting similar; and then I mysteriously won a book about perfectionism that confirmed some of my theories.)
Last year, things got even worse when I went to University. My schedule was awful and I had problems with transport, plus the program was very disappointing. I think I finally got the message that time, though. I did my best all the same at first and suceeded by driving myself sick, but after a disastrous second trimester, I realized I just wasn't where I was meant to be. I was giving myself a lot of trouble for something that wasn't worth it, so I abandoned my studies and took a break before calling my old boss back until I get a better idea... which I think I already have. Now at least I'm aware of my tendency to get stressed too easily and I try not to care too much about things that aren't really important...
Oh and yup, I live in the French-speaking part of Canada, so the literature program I took was in French. (Eh oui!) Everybody here is taught a little bit of English at school, but I owe the biggest part of my vocabulary to TV shows and novels that hadn't been translated. Since languages in general were always among my favorite subjects (my best grades were in French and English reading and writing), I was able to learn quickly.
I also took a Spanish option class in highschool, but my school had almost no money and a lame reputation, so I got a very young "teacher" who was still studying to be a teacher... :/ The guy was very nice, but he was also one of the most relaxed people I had ever met. He didn't want to get into fights with students as almost all the others did, so he just let us do whatever we wanted (including playing cards while he was speaking and walking around the class with food). At least I learned to conjugate some verbs and to make a few sentences, but because most people didn't listen and therefore understood nothing, he had to explain the same basic things over and over again. So that doesn't really count as a third language... (No hablo espaΓ±ol muy bien.)

Hey, don't sweat it. You're a busy little bee lol I love that analogy. I'm online alot cause I basically have no other entertainment, aside from reading and drawing. Which I do alot of reading off the net. Oh and "Speed of Dust" is a great expression
But you shouldn't concern yourself too much with the speed of your replies. I mean you get back to me eventually
lol so it's cool.
Yeah I've had alot of problems out of that leprechaun over the years. He needs a good wholloping to settle him down.
Well you're keeping busy but just don't over do it and burn yourself out. Sometimes you need to stop and enjoy life, and not be flustered by it. But hey I shouldn't be giving out advice on life and how to live it. Trust me on this
Have you ever thought of taking the MENSA tests? I bet you'd get it easy. or are you a member already?? You gots the brains for it
I would love to get usual marks of A+ but mine were usually B's. Some A's, I think I may have had one A+ in my life time
Cegep = college. gotcha.
I like that you find languages interesting. I'd like to be able to read, write and speak all of them But as it is I speak two, english and bad english.
The only french I know is "oui" and the song "Frère Jacques" which I've been told I sing in a french accent. I don't know how exactly but thats what I've been told.
Leo is awsome by the way. Always has been my favorite Ninja Turtle. I like his personaility the best and he has the best color headband and the coolest weapons. He's just awsome to the 10th power.

She looked pretty young to me, besides I don't think it would really matter with transformers. I mean they live for millinia at a time. Also they could have her in a stasis pod for a long time, effectively not aging her...

HopelssRomanticGhost In reply to phantomhunter [2008-02-21 02:00:14 +0000 UTC]
True, all too true. What's a few million years eh? X3 Still...winder how old RACHET was at the time. Oo; How long did it take to make look and act so old?
OMFG!! You read my mind! OwO I swear, I'm working on a story right now that has something to do with that! She was in a stasis pod and crashed to earth and now she's fresh and new to the team!
Hopefully they'll do something like that for real in the show! >w<
π: 0 β©: 1
phantomhunter In reply to HopelssRomanticGhost [2008-02-21 19:26:43 +0000 UTC]
I think with Ratchet is had more to do with the war than the actual time. I think he just saw a little too much battle and had too many good friends get slagged.
So you're surprised that I knew you were writing a story bout Arcee being in a stasis pod?? I am psychic ya know. lol
Seriously tho that sounds like a real good way to introduce her into the show, if she just doesn't show up with Magnus and his team.

exactly, whoever doesn't love Ratchet is just heartless.
I wouldn't presume to know what you're thinking now. My psychic power is turned off at the moment.
I would rather her with the team so that you could get the interaction between her and the others. Plus that way you could get some girl on girl with her kicking the crap outta Black Arachnia but good ^_^

Oh....Well that;s good. Wouldn't want you to hear what I'm thinking now anyways. >3 Gets kinda crazy at times. XD
Yeah! I could imagine the Elite Team training her and making her some badass girl and ratchet going, "What did you do to her?!!" Man. That'll be awesome. =w=~ But your right!
Move aside girl...a new one, with two laser guns, in coming in! >D

"stupid heartless" *boot to their head*
It's crazy in most peoples minds, you should visit mine some time. It's a really messed up place, scary too.
I think they could certinly make Arcee one of the most bad ass autobots in existance. That would actually be cool, so long as they didn't go the way of Xena.
I was watching the episodes on youtube and I noticed the family in the first episode that lookes like Spike, Carly, and Daniael. Then again in the one with Soundwave the kid that looks like Daniael was in it. You notice them??

Not like mine. Romance tends to go overboard at times. XD
Hmmm..that would be awesome! XD No one would dare mess with her then. >3 That. or I can imagine her just as clueless and innocent. :3 Like Chobits! X3
And yeah! XD lol I had a feeling they would do soemthing like that at some point. After all they used "Sparkplug" as the dog and gawd, who knows what else they put into the show from the old series! XD Maybe if we're lucky, they'll put on Hot rod or something. =w=

Thats would be awsome. Chobits...LOL
I've caught a few more things after watching a few episodes on youtube ( thanks for giving me the idea by the way) Like in the one with Soundwave when the TV camera bot went nuts and attacked the reporter the station put on a sign that said tech difficulties and it had a picture of that little sparky thing from the original series. I forget the name of it but you can see it in this picture in the upper left hand corner [link] Also Soundwave was protrayed at the beginning of the episode and end as a tape recorder. He especially looked like his Gen1 self at the end of the show.

Oh your welcome! I'm glad you got the chance to see them! Better yet, now you can see anyone you want anytime!
Oh really? Neat! :3 Soundwave is un-understandable to me as ever! XD I couldn't understand anything he was saying at all.

phantomhunter In reply to HopelssRomanticGhost [2008-03-02 04:27:13 +0000 UTC]
I loved Soundwave. He sounded great but I agree it was hard to understand him. I'm hoping they stop with the one decepticon at a time in the show. I know in the newest one Lugnut and Blitzwing are in it but it just seems to me that is all the decepticons were to attack all at once then the autobots would be finished.
π: 0 β©: 1
HopelssRomanticGhost In reply to phantomhunter [2008-03-02 17:37:21 +0000 UTC]
Me too! X3 Soundwave's so damn awesome. =w=~ And your right. They can't handle one at a time. Imagine of they attacked at once!
It'll be a miracle.
And there's something I always thought. EVERYTHING is agsint the Autbots! Owo; Decepticons are bigger, meaner, stringer, and have a BUGGER team! Autobits are doomed I'm sorry. It was hopeless to begin with! XD
π: 0 β©: 1
phantomhunter In reply to HopelssRomanticGhost [2008-03-03 12:17:32 +0000 UTC]
