A drawing I done of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner in if first costume.When they first made Kyle I hated him, everything about the concept I hated. I hated what they done with Hal Jordan and then Making this guy the new Green Lantern and I even hated the costume. Then I read the first few issues with him as GL and I completely changed my mind.
Kyle is now my all-time favourite Green Lantern. I came to love his original costume and I like his original GL symbol the best.

no prob. It's pretty cool even has a cover dipicting Connor shooting Kyles Power Battery with an arrow just like the old issue where Ollie was doing the same to Hal's

Well I pretty much like all of them. My least favorite is John Stewart. But I do like pretty much all of them. I think Iolande is pretty cool. I like the markings on her face.

I've seen several Black Lanterns doing image searches on the net. Like Earth2 superman and the martian manhunter.

Yeah, you can google black lanterns and you should get some decent hits.
Nah, mine doesn't get comics. They don't even have the old hardback original collected works. It's a very small library.

Well at first I hated everything about him mostly because I hated the fact that they changed who the Green Lantern was. But after I actually read a few of the comics with Kyle as GL I really liked him. He's now my favorite GL.

Thanks. I probablly won't. I've never been able to draw Hal to suit me and I don't like John Stewart, not really fond of Guy Gardner either. I do like him better than Stewart tho.

very cool pic. I didn't get into Green Lantern till just over a year ago. I first took notice with the Superman Animated episode "Brightest Day" where Kyle got the ring as Hal Jorden did. Its funny because it was the movie "The Increadibles" that made me take a genuine intrest in the overall DC heroes. But I liked Kyle from the start, he just seemed to really know how to have fun with the ring, his being an artest was a part of that. I have been getting trade paperbacks of Green Lantern now, but since I can't find any that are about Kyle, I asked my comic shop guy to talk to his DC sales rep. and order some to put on hold for me
A fun little thought, I have been brainstorming what would happen in Kyle got his ring four or five years earlier, if he had joined the Teen Titans and could have been a a part of the cartoon. Been having a lot of fun with that

Thanks, I got into Kyle being GL about 5 or 6 issues into his run. So I've been there for the long haul and even gotten back issues with his first appearence.
I like the titans and such, especially after it was mostly memebers of Young Justice ( one of my favorite books ever) but I never cared much for the cartoon and I don't think I would have liked if Kyle had been in it. Bout the only thing I liked from the show was the design for Cyborg, he looked great. I whish that look would carry over into the comics.

Funny I was just talking about this today with the guys at the comic shop. We all agree that Kyle's original costume was the best and can't figure out why the ever changed it. I mean his latest one is okay but I just loved this design so much more! I REALLY want a DC Universe Classics figure of it. Like...NOW!!

No he doesn't Which is why I was afraid when they brought back Hal Jordan. I'm glad he's at least still a GL but I hate the fact that he's shoved into stuff like Countdown. Ugh.
Well the good news is that Mattel said that making a Kyle figure is high on their prioty list they just haven't announced WHEN they'll make one.

I agree. I would like for Kyle to have his own book again. I'm very happy that he is a lantern still, but all the crap they do with him is ridicilous. His new costume is ok but I think it would be so much better if they gave him his lantern symbol instead of the standard one with a black backing.
Now the news that Mattel is wanting to make a kyle figure is outstandingly awsome.I would get one of him in a heartbeat. I have the 2 from DC direct and 1 from the batman total justice line. So one that has really great articulation would be awsome beyond belife.

Definitely agree with you there. I have the first DC Direct Kyle of him in his original costume and while cool I'd love to have that figure with the articulation the DCUC figures have. Course I'd have to order the whole case as I can't find any of the damn figures around here but it'd be worth it. Hopefully he'd come with own Power Battery as well and some constructs like the new GL figures are gonna have.
