Description This is a character a friend of mine came up with. I was thinking up something like the anime Bleach. An Agency had these hunters that would destroy evil spirits, demons, mosnters, etc.

This would have been one of the main characters. He's a Nephilim, which is half angel. When his powers manifested themselves he'd get that armor on the right side and the right side of his face would change. Thoes two things sticking off his back ( kinda above his right shoulder) would hold wings. I just never bothered to draw them. Plus he'd have a large sword as a weapon, again I never drew it either.

Nice, but Nephilim are hardly ever heroic, they struggle with controlling their anger, they thirst for violence and excitement and are unable to understand human social behaviors, thus leading them to lead emotionally distant and sad/lonely lives. They're only friends are normally animals, and they all tend to let pride get the best of them. It's no fun being a Nephilim, having to fight every human urge and emotion, while living in a world that will never understand you, moving from one fight to next, always depressed and alone, the need to serve and be loyal to a higher power, but never able to do it because the human side always introduces temptations that our Annunaki/angel ancestors were never meant to face. Humans are strong, strong enough to live with choices, but for a Nephilim no matter how hard we have all tried we seem to be doomed to be ruled by our emotions, urges, and instincts. The life of a nephilim is an angry, scary, depressing, and lonely one. Nephilim are only capable of one thing...hurting and killing humans, though we yearn to do so much more. We are quite tenacious, even the smallest nephilim is likely to cause a good deal of pain and grief for humans, even if they try not to. You can hit a nephilim all you want, but a true one won't go down until he's already been dead for a bit. We prefer honor on the battlefield and when in control will do whatever we can to even the playing field, but we also are likely to attack first, though we usually don't think we are, but we usually kill when we do.
If you're serious about making you're character a nephilim then just remember we're not very social with humans and despite our constant struggle to be good we will inevitibly be more of an anti-hero. Our enemies have good reasons for hating us. And in the hands of a nephilim just about anything will be used to inflict mass damage, but somehow in a manner that is understandable. We try to be true warriors when not angry, but rage is what makes us so dangerous, when angry a nephilim feels no pain and will not rest until their opponent has been destroyed, and they will regret their actions immediatley after.

Nephilim are the ultimate monsters, an overpowered being with a the mind of a "lost" human and the natural instincts of the Universe's ultimate warriors is not a fun combination. Only GOD can truly lead a nephilim to peace, but happieness isn't possible while they're alive, at least not being humble and happy.

Every Nephilim knows instinctively that they don't belong, so the ultimate goal in life for us is for our lives to just end already! Sadly though our warrior's honor prevents us from truly following through with any suicide attempt, that's the reason why we are instinctively drawn to fights, to die in battle is every nephilim's dream, but so is destroying every enemy we face...quite the connundrum huh?. Nephilim are usually not that different from eachother, kind of hard for a being ruled by emotions that are always present throughout our breed to be. We prefer to show respect, but temptation is a bitch that unlike everything else can't be broken by hitting it. Back problems are present in Nephilim who are out of shape which means underweight and not exercising, seeing as how we don't exactly get fat. Also a nephilim's apetite can be freaking ridiculous when they are training or excited.

and that's the hook! the ability to relate, it's kept marvel afloat for at least 50 years and honestly their stories are less than average while the characters are still pure frackin' genius!!! , sorry about the length I have trouble stopping.
