I love chalk pastels. They make my fingers so messy, but I like blending them.
Well, I draw people really badly but I like backgrounds...we're opposites!

My excuse for a background is usually a gradient . . . or a texture. Pfffttt. XDD;

Oil pastels are harder. I think you need some sort of paint thinner and a paint brush to get them to blend completely o.o at least that's what my freshman art teacher did.
Gradients and textures aren't bad! At least you can draw people.

I'll have to save up some money for art supplies, so that way I can experiment. 
Yeeeah . . . I still have trouble with the human body though. And half the time I don't even have the motivation to draw anything, even when I really want to draw. Augh. I'm going to have to push myself. I was supposed to experiment with a lot of techniques and art supplies this summer but I never did. I feel like I haven't accomplished anything . . . until today. Pfft. XDD; *fail*
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO DRAW! . . . that or I suppose you could get someone else to draw and animate it for you.

Yeah...oil pastels are kind of more trouble than they're worth in my opinion

Yeah, it's the body that gets me. I can draw them standing, but fuck any time I try to get them in a different pose
