I tend to be awake at night, and end up taking lots of walks- I always have- which has resulted in getting very comfortable with object-sourced lighting.Β
This one was really fun as far as the texture of the bodies goes, I had a bunch of dry media and spatter brushes that I used to get the mottling in and that ended up just being a super nice effect without to much effort.Β

Ahh-I see...very cool when long relaxing walks can lend itself to the creative process in such a natural way!!!!
Those textures are rich and easy on the eyes!

Walking at night does seem like a good way to understand limited lighting affects on objects and people. Keep it up! ^^

Agh, it's so sad, I live in a nice town now but it's small. When I was living in urban areas and doing lots of road trips it was really fun since you've got the street lights but also neon signs and more decorative lighting.Β
I've got a bunch of photos I took on a few night walks, one was right after it rained and one was when it had been snowing a little, and I always thought that they looked really neat with the reflection of lights on the wet pavement and whatnot.Β
Those are here , if you're interested.Β
