Description

I'M NOT DEAD! Hold off on the funeral! Anyways, I decided to create this piece to showcase my latest literary project while also telling the story of a legendary  vessel. All these girls, except the one with blonde hair, are supposed to showcase the development of the classic lake freighter SS Arthur M. Anderson. The Anderson is, perhaps, the most famous of all Great Lakes freighters, famed for her role in the sinking of the lake freighter SS Edmund Fitzgerald. On the night of November 10th, 1975,  the Anderson was the last vessel to have visual, radio, and radar contact with the doomed ore carrier before the Fitzgerald disappeared in a Lake Superior storm near Whitefish point. The Anderson was also the first vessel to brave the storm and return in the vain search for survivors of the Fitzgerald's crew.

1: The Anderson was built at the American Shipbuilding Company dry dock of Lorain, Ohio, in 1952.

2: in 1975, she was lengthened to 767 feet. She was more than likely this length when she searched for the Edmund Fitzgerald. Yes, I know that's a cell phone and cell phones didn't exist in 1975, but that's the closest thing Kisekae has to a walkie-talkie. Keep in mind, I typically use my apps and programs unmodded; that is, without additional addons. If there is a way to implement custom props into Kisekae, I don't know how to do it and would probably get it wrong anyway -- I'm not a tech expert. Right! Enough rambling! do you see the ghost girl next to the Anderson there? THAT'S the Edmund Fitzgerald.

3: In 1981, she was converted to a self-unloader, represented here by that techno-glove she's wearing on  that one hand. Her unloading gear consists of a stern-mounted conveyor boom.

The SS Arthur M. Anderson is a real vessel and you can go see her.
