Description A rainbow stamp. I'm not sure why, but it looks a little odd to me in the green and blue area... I wasn't sure how to fix it, so I'll just post it how it is for now...

♥ ♂♀ ♥ ♂♂ ♥ ♀♀ ♥

I have another rainbow stamp on my stamp/graphics account right here ( personally, I like the other one better, it has a cleaner look ).

There are several rainbow products found in my online shop ( To be honest though, they're not the greatest. I need to make better ones ).

You are more than welcome to place this stamp in your journal/shoutboard/etc. You don't have to ask.

Update: If you want to use this stamp as a template, you may. People have done it without asking anyway ( probably because I have the word "template" in the description to say where I got mine, so it would come up in searches for "stamp template" ), so it really doesn't matter anymore. Have at. A link back would be nice, but I'm not going to bite your arm off if you don't.

there was a documented case of two male penguins being gay and raising an adopted baby penguin. homosexuality appears in hundreds of species.

homophobia is only in one.

Have you ever read the bible? It says; "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus is the book of the law. It contains everything from commandments for men not to shave the edges of their beards; orders not to have intercourse during menstruation; not to harvest different crops in the same field; as well as strict dietary laws.

Note: "AS ONE LIES WITH A WOMAN", do not omit it because it is important. For one of the men in the sexual encounter to be treated as one would treat a woman, the man would have been taking a lower status. To do so would have been reducing him to property and in effect defiling the image of God, which man was considered. To fully understand this law, we must consider the historical context in which it was written.

The status of women in that time was much lower than that of men, and women were even considered property of the men. This belief regarding gender relations is rejected by most of the Christian church today, but in order to make sense of this specific Jewish law we must keep in mind this context in which it was written. We simply cannot ignore the second half of the phrase, “as with a woman” as most interpretations tend to do.

It's not the homosexuality that is a wrong, it's that treating men like women is wrong.

"The status of women IN THAT TIME was much lower than that of men, and women were even considered property of the men."

Is that to say that the status of women is still lower than men?
And is not treating everyone with equallity what God teaches us?
So why should these people who did not choose to be gay be treated differently than everyone else?

TwigHat In reply to AnimeArtisian [2012-07-03 16:01:34 +0000 UTC]

Women are still treated as less than men. If you can't see how women are objectified and treated like crap every day you are completely and utterly blind.

If you're going to claim that it is "impossible" for animals to be gay, at least do your research first so you know what you're talking about. [link] [link] [link]

Gods words have to do with loving people and treating people the way you want to be treated. Not hating people because they love differently. He also said homosexual sex is wrong, but if everyone is "born in sin" as many beleive, than heterosexual sex is just as wrong.

I hope you'll change your mind. LGBT people are everywhere and all we want to do is love and be loved. We're not evil like so many homophobes make us out to be.

Why are you against what other people do because of your religion? That's like telling everyone else that they can't eat a donut because you are on a diet.

It is certainly not impossible! How uneducated you are! There are hundreds of animals that exhibit homosexual behavior - both in displays of dominance and mating. But humans, however, are the only species that have an aversion to homosexuality - so your dislike of them is far more unnatural than homosexuality itself.

And I saw on your page that you're against bullying...

You can't do these things by halves, you know. If you don't want straight cis kids to be driven to suicide, then implicitly supporting the same in LGBT kids is amazingly hypocritical.

lohkk In reply to Stealthy-licious [2012-02-15 20:25:56 +0000 UTC]

And how many straight kids have killed themselves because big old mean gay bobby just won't leave them alone because of how gross it is to be straight? Really now. Supporting LGBT kids is telling hundreds of kids that there is someone in this world that cares. The gays aren't going to hurt you and, if you're straight, they'll probably show very little interest in you. Bullying is a problem and it needs to end, and not justbullying based on sexuality. However, it's a good place to start.

BlackAntoid In reply to lohkk [2013-01-03 11:39:13 +0000 UTC]

Oh, COME ON! Straight kids are bullied to (me, for instance) not because they are heterosexual, but for many other reasons such as mental disorders or weight. And they commit suicide, too. Don't act like LGTB kids are the only children that get mistreated OR the ones that should get more attention, because THAT would clearly be against the equality you all preach.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lohkk In reply to BlackAntoid [2013-01-04 19:33:01 +0000 UTC]

I certainly never intended that to sound like straight kids are not bullied, so forgive me if it came off that way. I only meant that it is very uncommon for straight kids to be bullied for being straight. Anyone in the whole world can be bullied for just about anything, and it's very very terrible and needs to stop.

I think one of the big differences is that if somebody bullies you for being ugly, someone might say "they can't help it that they're ugly" and that's that. However if somebody says "they can't help it that they're gay", there's a whole herd of people waiting to argue that point. Since so many people turn a blind eye to the bullying of LGBT people just because they think that being gay is wrong, it creates a bigger problem.

I hope that made sense. I'm sorry if I came off as insensitive, as it was not at all my intention.

BlackAntoid In reply to lohkk [2013-01-04 20:49:26 +0000 UTC]

I see. Don't worry, I understand your point, though what you said (people arguing that they CAN help it) also happens to kids with ADHD, for example.
Bullying is horrible, no matter the reason... I can't understand why some people say it's the victim's fault for being too weak..

...Huh, wow, I had no idea all of this happened in the comments. I am so back-logged in comments, I don't pay much attention anymore. It's just too much for me to go through.

As for what you said, even though I support LGBT rights and have a lot of interest in LGBT topics, I actually have to agree with you to some extent, although not for the same reason(s). And even though, yes, I do use the rainbow as a symbol for gay, I also like the idea of using it for other things as well, such as peace ( which is another meaning it has ). Or simply to enjoy it for the pretty colors, without necessarily having a meaning behind it. The fact that it seems that people can never use a rainbow without others thinking it represents gay is really frustrating, actually. I wish that people in general could accept the fact that it doesn't always mean that.

I made a stamp about that, actually - [link]

But, of course, I also support using the rainbow to mean gay.
