In order to do more appliance heavy projects, I did a face lifecast of my friend and frequent model J2.Related content

any idea as to when I can expect to see the final Skeletor appliance, this would make my discomfort well worth it!

It took 10-15 seconds, with my models permission, i closed the nose holes with a plaster strip, Snapped a shot and removed the cast from his face. He was fine with it and it turned out really good.

Wooooh! Props to the model for bravery. I had one on this week and nearly ripped the thing off.

Yeah and he neglected to mention that he has a very mild case of claustraphobia, but he knows it will help him with his Cosplay. And i did the main reinforcements to the mold after it was off his face.

Thanks. And I do have some big things planned for this lifecast. In the realm of cosplay i am going to do the full transformation(aka acid burns) from Keldor to Skeletor from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

That sounds like an awesome job! Good luck with it, looking forward to seeing more of your work up. I'm doing a diploma of specialized makeup services this year, and we've just started sculpting with Chavant clay for the first time this week and it's tough!

well even if it is hard to believe i am entirely an amatuer with only a bare minimal(1 class) training. the rest i read in books and from figuring it out. Later this year I plan to attend the Tom Savini Special Make-up FX School to get complete and proper training.

From what I've seen you're doing really well for an amateur! Majority of the work is just to keep practicing so it becomes second nature.
I always wanted to go to Tom Savini's school, ended up staying in Australia though. I met him at the IMATS last year though, he's such a nice guy!
