Description
Amara purred at the sweeps of her mother's warm tongue. The sun was climbing high, and they were just outside the pride den waiting for Mkali to get home from his meeting with the herd leaders. Cas smiled as he began finishing his daughter's bath. He could hear Zuberi arriving from playing with the other cubs. His son attempted to sneak behind his mother, and Cas expertly pinned the dark cub's tail with one paw.

"Not so fast, young lion. You're next."

"Aww, Moooom." he whined.

"You've been out playing all morning, Zuberi. You're dusty and dirty. You need a bath."

Zuberi pouted but didn't attempt to free his tail. His mother knew all his tricks, and any real fight was useless. Mom was bigger and a lot stronger than he was. So he sat and pouted as his sister purred during the remainder of her bath, waiting with dread for his turn.

Zu does not like baths, but Cas knows how to handle his grumpy little boy.
