Lutalo is the firstborn son of Munin and Amara and heir to the Tree of Life. As a cub he and his twin, Lekan, love to listen to their grandfather's stories about the Pridelands and the legend of the Dark King and Golden Prince, their great-great-uncle and great-grandather, Scar and Simba respectively. They love going to visit their grandparents and various aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Grasslands. Lutalo idolizes not only Simba and his grandfather, Kion, but also Mkali. He wants to be a great king just like they were.
