tracked him through the jump, with the sport setting, and then put the pictures together in photoshop. the clone tool comes in handy!

how do you say awesome in german/? damnn this is awesome! haha

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PhantomPorks In reply to hostileNATIVE [2007-01-11 11:06:24 +0000 UTC]

well, literally it would be "ehrfurchtgebietend". but nobody would ever say that. "großartig" or "super" would come closer to the colloquial use of the word.

glad you like it!

ha! don't know about the clever bit...

just a bit of goofing off, caught on camera really.
plus i wanted to give this kind of a shot another try, since it didn't really work out the first time.

glad you like it mate - i'm really chuffed the way it turned out!

amazing idea and you executed it very well. i'm wondering though, wouldn't there be more reflections in the water? that might be hard to do though.
anyway, i love the tone of this and i definately like it better than the first one.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PhantomPorks In reply to xauthorunknown [2006-07-29 00:08:51 +0000 UTC]

you know, i checked that, because the fourth shot has a reflection... but the other three don't have any! so the other heights aren't missing the reflection because i'm lazy...

there is a huge difference between this one and the first one. guess i got better with photoshop!

thanks for commenting

its got to be the new camera...

not only does it whisper "touch me, use me, ..." in an irresistably sexy voice, it also inspires me.

surprising since my muse is off in america/ england and will only be coming back in sept.

An affair with your camera!

My Film SLR is temporarily dead. I think it ran out of battery or something. Will just get a new battery in Phili.

yeah... need to figure out how to tell my girl that there's a new woman in my life...

terrible man. I've had the camera for a month now and I still haven't taken a shot of her. long distance sucks.

have been wondering how come you haven't been submitting man! get to it!

like what you've done here. A well executed manipulation. and it even feels a bit old school with the colouration!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PhantomPorks In reply to ArtlessHmmmm [2006-07-26 09:22:12 +0000 UTC]

glad that someone's mentioned the colour in this one!

was going for the old school feel, kinda like when you're rummaging through old pictures and dig up some old shots from your parents when they were still young type thing...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ArtlessHmmmm In reply to PhantomPorks [2006-07-26 10:02:29 +0000 UTC]

yer - and thats totally what i saw in it! How do you get a photo like that exactly? or even vaguely?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PhantomPorks In reply to ArtlessHmmmm [2006-07-26 10:16:08 +0000 UTC]

hm... a lot of photoshop.

5 photos cloned together to form one continuous jump.

then lots of layering: channel mixer to get the contrast up and colour balance and desaturation to get the old school, bleached look happening.
