Description

Well, after a month and a half of pre-planning, researching, sketching, outlining, and coloring, I present to you the biggest and most elaborate piece of art that I've created to date. To celebrate the next movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Age of Ultron, I present this crossover of Earth's Mightiest Heroes with Equestria Girls.

Now, without further ado, let's talk about the characters in question:

Flash Sentry as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Honestly, this was a surprisingly fitting choice. Steve Rogers was that small, weakling that became the hero everyone loved and relied on. Flash Sentry is the character that the fandom doesn't really like, but might become the hero that everyone will love...hopefully.

Trixie Lulamoon as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Trixie as Iron Man made sense more on the personality than anything else. She may not be the technologically intelligent mastermind that Tony Stark is, but she's as self-centered and egotistical as he is. I'm sure if she put her mind to it, she can achieve what Tony has...maybe...

Twilight Sparkle as Thor
[Note: I'm referring to Twilight from Equestria, not CDC Twilight.] Twilight as Thor made a LOT of sense, especially given their roles in their first movies. Thor and Twilight were sent to another world, stripped of their powers, and had to prove themselves worthy before returning home. Also, it was another plus that both of them have brothers...

Bulk Biceps as Bruce Banner/Hulk
He was chosen mostly because of the look. I'm not sure if anyone else made this connection or not, but it seemed like a fitting choice. Humorously enough, Bulk Biceps always looks like that. I wonder what he'd look like without all those muscles.

Fluttershy as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
The credit for this came from a video a long time ago called, "Avengers reenacted with Ponies". In that video, they made pony Fluttershy Hawkeye. That had always stuck with me for the longest time and what instantly came to mind with this crossover. Not to mention the characters are similar; both of them seem to keep their distance from everyone, for one reason or another.

Rarity as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
This was an obvious choice. Black Widow's tough exterior [and beauty] matches perfectly with Rarity's. Not to mention the fandom made this connection way before I did.

Sweetie Belle as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
This made sense because of Scarlet Witch's abilities. The energy that comes out of her hands reminds me of the magic that unicorns have. Seeing that she's been learning how to utilize her abilities and Sweetie Belle is just starting to learn how to use her magic, it made sense to cast her for the part.

Scootaloo as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver
Yes, I know Quicksilver is a guy, but casting Scootaloo as the part was a good choice, at least to me. Scootaloo likes to ride her scooter, indicating that she has a need-for-speed. Since Quicksilver has the ability to go really fast ["As fast as or faster than a bullet", as per Joss Whedon], she made a good candidate.

Spike as Ultron
I can't take full credit for this idea. At the time, I didn't have a choice for Ultron and was going to use the original robot for the role. However, shooting the ideas with my brother, he came up with the brilliant idea of making Spike Ultron. Not only did it sound like a good idea, but it added a bit of humor: an 8-foot robot played by someone who's the smallest in the lineup.

Robot-Ponies as Ultron's Robots
To reference Ultron's army of robots, I decided to make them all ponies that come out of the mirror. In this alternate universe, Spike-tron was created, found out about the portal leading to other dimensions, and utilized it to summon a legion to bring about the extinction of the human race. Make sense? Probably not, but whatever sinks your boat.

Because of all the time I spent on making this [and the fact that this is the only piece of art I’ve made that I'm really proud of], I decided to put my own watermark on it to prevent stealing.
