At long last, here's the next installment of the EGMCU, the Netflix heroes: The Defenders!!
Let's talk about the casting decisions here!!

Vinyl Scratch as Matt Murdock / Daredevil
This decision was made almost instantly, mostly because of the look and background of the character. Although Vinyl is not blind, she doesn't say very much, which reciprocates Matt Murdock's inability to see. Not to mention that both of them would probably make kick-ass vigilantes!!

Octavia Melody as Jessica Jones
With the decision of Vinyl as Daredevil, it was almost obvious that I wanted Octavia to play Jessica Jones. Something about the way Octavia carries herself really reminds me of Jessica; I suppose it's the 'no-nonsense' personality.

Brawly Beats as Luke Cage
Although this character is the third to be introduced, casting Brawly Beats as the part was actually the last decision made. At this point, I wanted to continue the trend of having musicians play the parts of the Defenders. Brawly was chosen because he looks (and sounds, to some extent) the part of the 'Power Man'.

Neon Lights as Danny Rand / Iron Fist
Neon Lights was the third character chosen because of his look. He doesn't have much of a personality in either of the series, but he really looks like he would be a good Iron Fist.

Sunny Flare as Elektra Natchios
The second Elektra was introduced in the trailers for Season 2 of Daredevil, Sunny Flare was the first one that came to mind. She's supposed to be Rarity 2.0, but you wouldn't know that by the movie, since she had only two and a half lines. Based on the bios on the websites and the toys, she looks like she would be that sexy, yet deadly addition to the team!

Teddy as Frank Castle / The Punisher
Although Teddy (where do these fan names even come from?) isn't a musician, he looks like the best candidate to play The Punisher. He has that face that screams vigilante that knows a thing or two about assault and strategy!

As I mentioned before, this project was delayed because of the weapon used by The Punisher. The reason why that weapon was chosen was because it was the first one that was used when Frank Castle officially became the 'Hero Punisher', according to Jon Bernthal. I had drawn up the wrong one, where my brother graciously corrected me.

In case you're wondering why Elektra and the Punisher are shown, it's because, although they aren't the main focus of the series coming out later this year, it is confirmed that they will be making appearances in the show! I simply cannot wait to see how it all turns out!
