Zootopia simply screams creativity. My jaw dropped when I saw the CG on our main hero, Judy Hopps. The introduction train scene alone is among the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen in a CG Movie.
Perhaps it's because I myself worked my butt off to try and get into the police service for a couple of years, but I found myself completely falling into Judy's struggle in the big city struggling to adapt to her role as a police officer, despite the heavy pregidous around her.

But this brings me to my only real gripe. And it's a relatively small one. The strong anti-pregidous message does feel very relevant right now (you can probably guess what USA political candidate I'm thinking of), but I personally found it a little ham-handed by the time Judy begging an apology to our other main character Nicke.

The voice acting is pitch-perfect for the roles. Judy and Nicke feel like very real characters. Judy feels like the optimistic justice-driven young police recruit while Nicke feels very much like the jaded con-man. Their meeting and friendship feels very organic too (it doesn't happen overnight, in fact they start by hating each other). Visually this is simply a masterpiece to watch unfold. The action scenes are amazing ranging from tiny people worlds to pouring rain werewolf battles.. And without giving anything away, a really unexpected twist in the final battle with two unlikely fighters turned on one another.

Call me predictable but Judy really was my favourite character. She was so damned likable, well-meaning and driven to do the right thing, I was immediately rooting for her to crack the case.

Also, did anyone else notice that Dawn Bellweather (the assistant sheep) has the Trump hair? Maybe it's just me but I definitely thought they might've done that on purpose.. Made me chuckle at the end heh.
