Description
Novel Part.2...These are the steps for details. I just build them up with things I feel the piece needs.
I started with the gloves and went down from there to the sleeves...or what was left of them. I put buttons on the jacket and wrinkles were the body pulls at the clothing.
Soiled fabric, rips, tears, and bruises. I added some details for the holster and the gun.
I deliberately left the face and most of the hair till the final installment. Next up, some close ups.

This is great really like how you build up the picture a bit at a time and really nail each part.
Is this a picture straight from your minds eye or did you take some references first to get the pose correct?

I spend a day at least once a month cafe sketching at popular spots to keep myself in shape for drawing the body. Other than that, take classes in anatomy to first study how the body should work and how it goes together. Poses come after you know how everything fits together. Also, I'm all over the place. I have been known to actually revisit a piece a month later and add more detail. Every time I post is all the initial drawing. Honest. Thanks for the love!

The inspiration is the book series listed. I really liked how the main character steps up into role of the hero. My thumbnails are all in my head and this one was the one that stood out the most so I just scribbled it down until it made sense. Thanks for reminding me to post the face tutorial! I totally forgot about it.
