AKA: Dear Hasbro....it can be done!She's done! MWAHAHAHA! Finally, all the Mane Six are the way they should be.
Twilight is made from her own bait. Which is just about the most amusing thing for me to say right now. I don't even know why. But she was repainted with Cermacoat acrylics, given more Twilight-esque eyes *grumbleunicorneyesgrumble*, and rerooted with a DollyHair blend called Midnight Magick. The pink and purple are from her original hair? I think? I don't know. I have so much bait hair I just lose track of who it belongs to at this point.
I am so friggen happy with her, I can't even tell you. Her bangs are driving me nuts because they're a bit tall and the blue on the pink/purple side looks nonexistant, but overall? So flipping happy with her.

There are a few different ways to do it actually. I know a lot of people use a rerooting needle which lets you just push the hair into the hole and be done with it. I personally like tying knots in plugs and sewing them in by hand.

I thought that the original in general was little too pink. But now that I look at it, it's ALOT too pink. I love that you added bangs, fixed the eyes, and added longer hair. I think this is what the original should have looked like.

Thank you! I have always had an issue with inaccurate toys even as a child. There was no way I could let the eyesore that she was sit on my shelf.

I was the typeof little girl whhave been o always noticed when somthing didn't match up. I hated how inaccurate toys were. You did a very good job. I happy with this

That toy is beautiful! It's a shame that fans have to pick up the slack because a big company like Hasbro can't be bothered to make ponies that look like the show. Do they think little girls are blind or something!?

They probably don't think little girls care and, to be fair, a lot of them probably don't. But I was the kid who would read, "The dog stood with his paws in the puddle." and point out that the picture showed him standing beside the puddle. There are some kids who probably look at that toy and go, "That's not Twilight Sparkle."

I guess I'm just basing my opinion on how I felt when I was a little girl. Even when I was a toddler, I HATED the Disney Princess Barbies that were slathered in glitter instead of wearing their normal, non-sparkly dresses from the movies. If a toy wasn't accurate to the show/movie I liked, it drove me crazy. But maybe I was just a weird kid. LOL

UGH yes! No, you weren't/aren't weird. I was like that, my roommate was like that, and my five-year-old nephew is VERY much like that. Kids aren't stupid. They know the differences between what they see on tv and what the find on the shelves.

Ah, that explains it. I've never watched the show, but I have a couple ponies and I was looking at my coloring books, and I noticed they were different.
