Your theory is very possible because Cubone was originally designed as the pre-evolution of Kangaskhan.

Actually, the current Pokedex still says cubone wears the skull of it's dead mother. Very nicely done.

Its true actually. originally cubone was supposed to end up evolving into kangaskhan but they changed it and that left over data is actually what caused the missingno bug in Blue and Red. if you caught a Missingno and leveled it up it would evolve into a Kangaskhan

I think that's just a legend , missigno was just filling the blank spaces in the cartdige so when there's no pokemon data in any kind of area it could come out in battle to prevent the game from crashing.
But yes , probably there was an idea to make a baby kangashkan , but they didn't have several methods of evolution like happiness or holding items.
Another cool theory is that a baby kangashkan may evolve into an adult kangashkan by hapiness or into a cubone by holding a skull and leveling up , and then could evolve into marowak

hmm you may be right. i did some research after posting that comment XD what if marowak could just evolve into kangaskhan?

I believe it too and I LOVE this, is the tear because of the skull of the deceased Kangaskan? I hope I asked that correctly
(Sorry for spelling mistakes lol)

It couldn't be the Kangaskhan's skull since they don't have horns on their heads, but ears. Plus, a mother Kangaskhan her head is MUCH Bigger than that of the child's.
Baby Kagaskhan are also purple, not brown. It has 3 claws on its paws, where Cubone only has one.
It's a very cute 'theory' but the little details point out otherwise

I think we need to keep in mind that many pokémon change appearance when they evolve, also keep in mind that some pokémon evolve with the help of items.
Sure if it only were to do it like most people would thing, taking the skull and just putting it on. The baby Kangaskhan would be smaller than Cubone.
The thing about the fingers, sure it fits as a hole in the theory, but think about Geodude. Geodude grows extra arms, but each hand only has three fingers.
I'm not saying that the theory is wrong, but neither that it's true. I'm just saying that there is a lot of things that shows it's possible, but can be proven out of shape. There is also a lot that can show that it's wrong, but can be explained trough evolution.
I myself think Cubone looks like a young teen Kangaskhan and Marowak looks like a kinda small male Kangaskhan. Because there is no Kangaskhan males, how would they mate and produce offspring? And the Mega evolution of Kangaskhan also can be used to build on the theory, since the baby becomes bigger and darker in color.
I didn't mean to be mean, I'm just saying what I have found loopholes that can make a connection at least, between Kangaskhan and the Cubone family.

I clearly stated that the -BABY- kangaskhan has 3 fingers and cubone doesn't. With your theory of how baby kangaskhan grows up to be Cubone, it grows less claws. If it should then evolve to Marowak or even Kangaskhan, it suddenly gains more claws again. Both Marowak and Cubone have male and female counterparts. The theory would be more correct if marowak would have been male only, which isn't the case.
There are multiple cases of female-only Pokémon: Chansey (& evo), Cresselia, Flabébé (& evos), Jynx (& prevo), Vespiquen, Miltank, ... And male only: Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Throh, Tornadus, Thundurus, Rufflet (& evo), ... The females can easily produce offspring by breeding with males of the same egg group, but male-only would need a ditto (since the offspring is ALWAYS the species of the female, unless a ditto is involved).
It's all how Emboar and Magmortar kind of look alike, Magikarp and Feebas look alike, Plusle and Minun look like dwarf Pikachus... I never meant to break down the originality of the theories, but in my opinion they just look alike and that's that

When did I say that Marowak is only male? All I said was that the combination of loosing it's mother and evolving, might have an effect on it.
And when you take out the one-gender pokémon, they usually have a equal of another species, an example for this is Thoraus and Milktank, Vespiquen is the queen of Combees, she got a hive of males.
And about the claws again, Geodude... 4 fingers 2 arms, then 3 fingers 4 arms, then 4 fingers 2 arms... the thing about the claws isn't really something new.
I'm just saying that the theory is fully possible, not that it's how it is, but it's possible. And Feebas/Magicarp, I'm just saying this because I think it's interesting. They both evolve to sea serpents, but one looks really male while the other one looks more female. Not being sexist, just an observation and option...
I know I might sound angry in this, but I'm not. It's just that I really have a feeling on that theory, not the missingno part tho... that's just empty data. Even tho, if they introduced a male Kangaskhan that'd be awesome and make the theory fade away.

I don't recall stating that you said that Marowak was male only. You said: "Marowak looks like a kinda small male Kangaskhan. Because there is no Kangaskhan males, how would they mate and produce offspring?", to which I just replied that that would be a very good theory if Marowak would have been male only, which they aren't.
Yeah sure, Tauros and Miltank could be counterparts, but I don't really see counterparts for the male-only fighting Pokémon. Pokémon isn't 100% accurate on its 'lore' with all the weird stuff jammed into the Pokémon games (eggs are always the species of the mother unless a ditto is involved, for example) and I think they didn't really think it through when they designed male-only and female-only Pokémon (except with Nidorina and Nidorino, for example, except that Nidoking and Nidoqueen can't breed, which is also an oddity!).
Yeah, you have a point on the arms thing... But that doesn't really explain why the skull on Cubone's head has horns IF it would be a Kangaskhan's (since it doesn't have any horns, just ears).
It /could/ be possible but my only explanation for Cubone and Marowak looking like Kangaskhan is a rumor that Nintendo wanted Cubone to be the first stage of Kangaskhan but scratched it and created Marowak instead. Gyarados indeed looks rather male while Milotic looks female; and in nature males often look more bright and colourful than the female counterpart so I can see correlations as well between Feebas and Magikarp, but again these are just theories and thoughts, not actual confirmed and canon facts.
Missingno is just a bug, I think. Maybe even a negative easter egg for people who tamper with the game, or the game's way of handling things that should never happen.
I don't think male Kangaskhan would ever work, but who knows? It's weird in the first place that there are no males, since male Water Opposums, for example, also have pouches. Or just a male version without a pouch! The problem with Nintendo here is that they made it so that any Pokémon of the same egg group can breed, making it so that Kangaskhan can mate with a Charizard and produce Kangaskhan offspring... It's probably just for the game's sake...

ok... can we maybe settle this on a more easy note then?
It's a theory, there is reasons why it might be right and why it might be wrong, but it's just a theory...
Nice discussing this with you tho, no hurt feelings from my side(not really sure how that'd happen anyways)...
I hope to maybe see you again sometime.
