I decided to take some time off to ski in Aspen, but maybe I should have taken into account that I had never skied before, and that I tend transform at the most inopportune moments!Bonus points to those who can spot the eagle in the picture (not the football team btw)

Somewhere along the line, my ancestors were were-birds. I do not know all the details but over time the 'curse' as you call it remained dormant.

I would say it's not cannon. I developed something a few years ago for an intro to an RP (which later faltered because of my scattered availability) and because of the rules I really thought about my origin story and developed something that I felt fit the character nicely.
