[Kitten]

Silverkit had a normal birth and for the first month of her life she was just the average kit; mother, father, sister. She was a curious kitten and the moment she could walk and not even talk yet she was all over the camp often having to be scolded by the other clan members and being returned to her mother and less curious sister. But when she hit around one moon old illness struck her mother and soon after Silverkit herself. Both she-cats where moved into the healers den where, completely unknown to the kit, the healer had just lost her mate. It started out as a simple white-cough and kitten-cough but it went down hill very quickly and Silverkit and her mother were on the brink of death and it was touch and go for a long time. Silverkit was still young and didn't know what was going on a lot of the time but she knew that it was not good. After a few sunrises Flareleaf, Silverkits mother, passed away which devastated Silverkits father, Eclipseheart.

Horsewhisper worked day and night caring for the kit and even though she was so young and in a weakened state Silverkit could sense the determination in the she-cat. The day after the passing of her mother Silverkit dropped into a coma and too most she seemed as good as dead and it was announced that she would be passing soon and that they would pray for her safe passage into starclan but Horsewhisper just would not let her go, having seen too much death in that moon already and with stone cold determination slowly coaxed Silverkit back into health. it was a miracle and the clan were taken aback by her recovery but eternally grateful, especially Silverpaws father. It was took a couple of moons but soon Silverkit was healthy and almost back to her old ways though her disease had left her body weak and small. The little kit was more easily tired out than before and had to take frequent breaks too prevent herself from collapsing but she soon got used to it.

After Silverkit finally left the healers she was still adventurous, just at a slower pace and was soon being dragged back to the nursery over and over again but she was also a lot closer to her family. Without a mother she had to rely on the milk of another queen, Mothcloud. Despite missing her mother a lot Silverkit readily accepted the new arrangement and new siblings, she loved Mothcloud almost as she had loved her own mother and would go to her with any problems she might have as she would have with Flareleaf had she survived. After their mothers passing Silverkit and Petalkit became almost inseparable and it was rare to see one without the other. This of course meant that Silverkit dragged her sister into a lot of the mischief she used to get up to on her own and it was twice as much trouble for the clan.

As she grew older though, Silverkit began to realise her loss. Her mother was never coming back, when she was younger she was certain that Flareleaf had just gone on a trip, that's what her father always told her. "She's gone to Starclan". When Silverkit was younger she thought that Starclan was a physical place just as Rockyclan, Tideclan and Pineclan but it took her a little while before she it dawned on her that it was a place to go when you die. This sudden realization hit her hard and Silverkit became shy and reserved, losing all her previous want to play and explore. This personality change became permanent and the she-kit was never the same bouncy kitten she once was. After a while Silverkit came to terms with the fact that her mother was gone and she would smile again but she would still stay pretty calm and withdraw by kit standards but with her sister encouragement she would socialize with others.
