The first time I learned about the Red Panda was after watching Ku Fu Panda. At first, I didn't know what kind of animal Shifu was suppose to be until I decided to look it up and found out that it's a Red Panda. I never heard or seen this type of animal before. It's very interesting yet at the same time very odd that it would kinda named after the Panda but the description gave a reason why they were called a Red Panda. It was also very interesting to learn other names of Red Panda.
I'm developing a character that is Red Panda. Or I was thinking of making it part red panda - part cat. I'm still working on it.

Heh well you are welcome to reference the orthographic drawings there :] They are great for learning an animals anatomy. I strongly recommend drawing the animal you want to make a character of a few times so they come more naturally to you. Link it when you are done! I would love to see your version of a red panda character

Thanks for the info!
Yeah, not only study animal anatomy but also human anatomy as well. I've been working on human anatomy from my previous classes. I just need to find time to draw so that I can still be able to focus on homework yet at the same time spend time drawing.
I'll let you know when I've uploaded drawing.

Best way to do that is draw all the time and draw fast!! When you are sitting having a coffee, draw the person on the other side of the cafe. Chillin' with friends, ask them if you can draw them - most will be flattered. Go to workshops! There may be workshops that you can go to with clothed (or nude) figures - there are here in SF Grab a friend who likes to draw and convince them to go with you. It's so much more fun to hang with friends and draw. Also, you can get feed back. Another option is grab some of the amazing stock photos off DA and just sketch them. Don't even care what they look like. Back in elementary school I would trace Sailor Moon and Bulma from Dragon Ball. After a while I knew how to draw them however I wanted because I got comfortable with their form. They were horrible drawings (seriously), but I still have them and they were how I started learning. Other artists are a great way of learning too, just don't copy them so much you get into trouble.
I have SO many books dedicated to human anatomy AND animal anatomy. I only refer to them when I get really stuck though, because after a while you learn how the form works.
