Description Toadette: Gee, Daisy. Why the serious look?
Daisy: It's my birthday...
Toadette: Oh.  Happy Birthday! That's wonderful!
Daisy: Is it?  It's been 25 years since my debut in a main Mario game.  I was put on hiatus for almost 10 years... Since then, I ended up being in spin-off games for the last 14 years.  Go-kart racing, soccer, baseball, and all that... and at one point, there was that tanning accident...
Toadette: I've been in spin-off games all the time... besides, isn't Super Mario Land a spin-off itself?

I did a story with Princesses Peach Toadstool and Daisy trying to save the Mario brothers and Yoshi. Toad and Toadette also assist the Princesses.

Oh my gosh this is sooo true! I can see a Super Princess Daisy game so happening!! xD It can be an even edgier version of SPP, but original. Like, she has to save Luigi from a hunted mansion :3 The game's theme should be autumn! I dunno, just throwing out ideas here!

Poor Daisy. Not being in a mainstream Mario game for some 25 years can turn you into a tired old cynic.

It seems she's been essentially replaced with Rosalina, sadly. Not that she's a bad character, but I want more love for our underrated yellow princess!

I read some comment on another deviation saying that Shigeru Miyamoto won't allow spin-off characters in Mario games that has his involvement (that includes Waluigi, Wario, etc.... though Wario got his own series)

Shigeru Miyamoto actually saed in an itnerview this was a thing only in the far past because supposedly the artstyles used in Super Mario land were too different, but he now says he doesn't see a problem with characters like Wario and Daisy appearing in the platformers.

I think she's been overshadowed by the likes of Peach and Rosalina.  She's largely been in spin-off games and never in main Mario games.
