Description
I recently heard about the closure of Telltale Games... I remember Telltale making adventure games ever since LucasArts stopped doing them (like "Sam and Max" and "Monkey Island")... and there were some other games I enjoyed like the poker games (Poker Night at the Inventory)... but then after most of the original guys left, the studio went downhill from there...This is my take on Telltale's shutdown.... something similar to the Hindenburg disaster...

This is what gross mismanagement of personnel, spreading your resources too thin by pushing for an assembly line method of software production,
lacking in innovation and relying too much on cookie cutter method game development, and wasting profits solely on acquiring expensive licenses
instead of focusing more on original IP and financially investing in improving an aged game engine eventually does to a gaming company.

Oh you noticed huh.
It's Hasbro.
Their gearing up for MLP G5 so they kinda make the previous gen meh.
But seeing Hasbro's past records in doing follow ups.
They always follow up success with mediocrity.

Yes, 'tis a sad day indeed.Β I enjoy both the Sam and Max games, as well as Strong Bad's, so Telltale was cool in my book.Β Now we won't get any more of those for a long time now . . .

Yep, it's one of the key phrases from Telltale. But I'm not surprised, because as much as I love Telltale games, they are known to be formulaic and no matter what choices you make, the results remain the same.
Though I hope the developers for "Life Is Strange" will pick up what Telltale started, even if it's wishful thinking.
