Description
My Irish painting teacher would always use the phrase "Never the object, never the subject". Implying that technique and painterly expression was the important part. In this abstract work, the only subject is the technique. The subject is development of digital texture through photomanipulation and image glitching. Nothing too serious, check full size for clarity.Facebook.com/Phenoxa

I love the sentiment, 'only the technique' as the part that matters, and love that this is being implied to digital work! Its about time people took digital work and applied wider artistic understanding to it, most seem to deem digital as disposable - but that is a contemporary social problem that is killing our world!
When I first saw this piece I took in the beauty of it and faved it, then I saw in it a similarity to some bank notes and the image for me changed in mood completely and some how underneath the external beauty there was a very quiet element of something sinister, related to money/power.
