(You guys were NOT expecting this were you?! XD)I just started my Art 3 two days ago and this was our baseline assessment....
I haven't drawn anything but anime in an entire year. o_o So this, was just.. very weird to draw again...
QAQ I know its impossible to tell but its of Hugh Jackman... that guy that plays wolverine.
Stuff used:
-Normal Computer paper
-Technical pencils: 2B, H and 3B
-Photoshop for getting rid of the eraser marks and fixing the contrast problem (thats the boxes).
......Did use a reference.
Took about 2 hours.

hmmm. well, painting is difficult. I say start over again with oils and find yourself a good teacher, someone close so your age. Oils don't dry for 24-48 hours so you have time to fix mistakes and if you have a friend who paints, they are usually good at teaching you but not taking over. That's how I learned!

Start over? o_o ..I havent even started! And sadly my painting teacher only has acryllic paints... oils must cost more for the class set. And I wish there was someone to teach me, but even so I dont have the time..

yeah. Oils cost a buttload of money. That's the only art supplies my parents will buy for me because its not for my anime stuff, it's for realistic. That sucks. Sometimes you can find really good teachers at local art stores though, so you might be able to find someone willing to help you there.

Whats the difference other than the drying time and the fact that apparently you have to clean the brush with a special cleaner? QAQ

its just so much harder to work with! The drying time is the whole thing that bothers me, you have a whole of around 5 minutes to blend everything. And I also hate the fact that it dries darker...

Its just that Usually I'm all down on my art, and this one shocked me a bit so I was overly excited to post.

Well, I'm just amazed how detailed you made it. I'm also really use to seeing you draw anime!
That sounds like it'll be a cool class. I've never really been a big fan of Painting, which I do own paint supplies but I've never used any of it.
Splatter paint, is that where you throw paint on to a canvas?? I don't have knowledge of it.
It can't be too bad though, you might be able to use pencils to help with getting your drawing a base to paint over.

I know this might sound wierddd but before I started drawing anime I did a whole lotta realism..... and I started drawing anime seriously, about 3 years ago o_o....
And I've been drawing cars and stuff since I was 11.... but i'm so lazy i just do anime XD
