Description
When was the last time I even did a still life?!I'm a little rusty!
Well my mom changed the lightbulbs in my lamp then I got all giddy.
I've been wanting to paint lightbulbs for some time now!
...Then I threw in a cup and that half-an-hourglass that I compulsively bought one day at Kohls.
And my 3DS was just kind of sitting there.
Photoshop, 2 hours

Speedpainting is a blast!

I swear, if not for the fact that I know your studies are so realistic and the slightly messy shading in a few places (which I'm guessing was deliberate), I would think this was a photo. the textures are amazing! I love the way the sand turned out, and the glass looks really cool. I swear, if you showed this to any art company and said it took two hours, you'd be hired immediately!

Well, time is of the essence.
I can't have everything crisp.
Thanks!
Pft I don't know about that but thank you!
Also, 2 hours is actually slow for me. I've done stuff at 45 minutes. D:

Thank you!
It was kind of funny... I put some reflective gum wrappers and that cup to add some interest to this! It felt silly but it worked.

I approve of your masochism. I guess this explains why you're so good at painting!!

Artistic masochism what's that
Hard to say... But these studies really help with imagining lighting!
Plus they're a fun way to get back into drawing from life.

Yeah...... I agree with you completely about the masochism thing.
Although the bike should really be considered pure torture. Because it was.
