Description
So, I was bored in class and decided to challenge myself to do a food study using only a mouse and the photoshop default brushes.
(To be specific I only used two brushes. A soft edge brush and a hard edge brush.)
It was surprisingly really relaxing and fun.
Not to mention it forced me to be more precise with my marks.
(Yeah, I'm pretty sure I end up blending too much when I use my tablet.)
Interestingly, my entire workflow was different, but felt the same?
It was basically:
Yup realistic stuff with a mouse is possible. It just takes more time and patience, for sure.
I highly suggest trying this out if you're too comfortable using your tablet.
I know this kept me on my toes.

It took me a second to see it wasnt really a picture.
I would have more to say on this lovely drawing but Ive been left speechless with the whole, "Two brushes and a mouse" part.

Thanks!
Ah Yes but I'd say the star of this drawing was definitely the color picker.
If you assign it to a shortcut and use it like crazy it's almost like you have tablet control. c:

The hunger is real. x U x; I'm always so attracted to how pretty sushi looks, personally.
Ah I can't really take credit for that- it was a well composed photograph. I just painted it.
Thank you! c:

Ah they're fine! Honestly this didn't take that long. xD
I think I tense up my hand more using a tablet pen tbh. I notice I grip the tip of the pen really hard.

That's totally insane. The outcome doesn't even remotely look like it's done without a tablet.

Thanks.
Yeah it just takes a lot longer- Luckily I found the whole process relaxing instead of frustrating.
Here's a wip if you're interested.

Thanks for the insight, it's still remarkable that you made this only with your mouse and even had fun while doing it! I can't imagine myself drawing with a mouse and being relaxed ^^
