Description I am never good with descriptions...I was not even going to enter the contest honestly. I am very hard on myself when it comes to my art, I am my own worst critic! There is a lot about my sculptor I don't like and I wish I could redo, but instead of criticizing myself let me at least give a brief description of my creation...

As the name suggests, the design is based off of the mythological beast. Though with this 3 headed dog, all 3 skulls are a different size and shape since the machine is made from spare parts...well each skull had to have come from a different dog, right?! If you ask me no two dogs are alike, just like people! The middle head is equipped with a Flamethrower, the tank containing the gas supply is tucked within the beasts chest! The chain-like tail has a sharp rusty kitchen knife attached at the end. Only the two outer heads have jaws, and if you look closely they each only have half a jaw corresponding to what side the head is on. The back legs are equipped with hydraulics, for if the dog can't jump what good is it?!

I put a lot of heart into this project, and I still hate it! I can't even begin to say how many hours I put into it. The majority of the sculptor is made of Super Sculpey clay. I did use some junk jewelry, toothpicks, wire and plastic rhinestones in the creation of this hound...

Awesome!!! I love skulls! Have you tried working with real ones? There's several Etsy folks that sell them, but you have to search around for reasonable prices.

Here's a tip from one sculptor to another who has been in your "I worked really hard on this but the finished piece makes me want to vomit!!!!" shoes: make it again. It always looks better the second time. I've had to cannibalize pieces before and completely redo them after staring at it for a few days with a look of disgust and they always turn out way better. Don't rely so heavily on Sculpey. One of the best things about it is that it bakes at such a low temperature that you can throw all kinds of media in there and not worry about it turning to ashes. Try using real skulls, insulated wire, leather scraps, etc. Just remember that superglue weakens in heat so you'll have to reapply it after baking. Good luck! I really like the concept!

Thanks...

Actually, I have been working on a project off and on that has a dog skull involved. I really need to get back to work on it. So much to do and so little time...

Actually with me, it looks worse the second time around. I'm not sure why that is?! I have recently been using a product called milliput. I love the stuff so much...

I should probably start uploading more of my work...

I could really see your creation in a sequal. The other works are great but yours seems more real to me!

I studied over photos of the creatures in the movie, especially both our favorite, "The Cat Beast" for I wanted mine to have a similar feel. I still wish I could see the movie, that really would have helped me with my creation!

I really hope so, I still don't get how they promote a movie like crazy and only a few select theaters get it...
