Description The rhythms of our lives
Are set only by the melodies of fate.
We allow time to, our hearts, ferment.
Until the vows are then set and able to cement.
Forever able to be followed by the future;
Two lovers heart's becoming one.
Love is the allowance of one into your heart.
Hate is the same, just allowing one into your mind;
Making a fine line between the two.
Both enter in vital organs, and are able to corrupt,
Able to ruin or break you with just the slightest touch.
If both were juxtaposed, you would hate your lover too;
Letting them in was only the doing of you.
Your interworkings and nerves didn't catch the sudden threat.
The tragedy was only realized, after your demise.
I would give anything to have seen this through your eyes.
To feel this with your own depth, and not mine.
To know why it had to be this way;
The separation few can ever bare.
And now you've filled my lungs too, another organ corrupted by you.
I breath for you, now.
And my heart beats for you, now.
And my mind thinks of you, now.
And my only instinct is the be with you, now.
The fine line between love and hate is one that is often blurred.
And now I ask you;
What happens to a love deferred?
Does it fade away into nothing?
Does time erase any trace that it was ever something?
Or maybe it traps us in our thoughts;
Only wondering what could have been.
As we stand idle, never able to muster the courage to fight for it again.
And in these errors we will all dwell;
Hoping that only time will tell.
What's worth fighting for anymore, I ask?
What's worth dying for anymore, I ask?
That's for only ourselves to decide;
When we're ready to, in our hearts, confide.
