I finished it! :UTook me a couple of tries to figure just how i wanted to do the background/colors. it's one of the more time consuming things simply because I'm not as practiced at making traditional background let alone digital. BUT I did look back at my painting classes in college and remembered I'm really good at post-impressionism.
Which is to say, what Van Gogh and Monet painted like.
Which is a ton of mcfricking paint strokes on top of paint strokes that are not blended all that well.
Every time I looked at that background I'd think :"Is this enough layers?" Then I'd zoom out to look and say. "Nope it needs MORE!"
...
It probably still needs 10 more layers

Man...this looks AWESOME! The background looks great for an action scene! It looks blurred out to give it a quick-paced feel to it! I also noted that you can tell the good Metal Sonic from the bad one through their eyes and "head spines". That's a good detail there! Hope you keep getting better at it!

Thanks! The art piece means a lot to me and to see people loving the piece as much as they are just makes me so happy! It's from one of my old stories that I'm rewriting, and I think I'll do more pieces like this for it in the future. ^U^
