phew... I was having some trouble with this one, but i love how it turned out in the end! it was mostly the background, I've been so focused on lineart and characters that I've completely neglected practicing backgrounds :/I actually started reading the archies comics RIGHT before this issue came out. It hurts me so much because i started reading the comics BECAUSE of Shard and then like a week later BAM! sonic universe 50. The frustration i tell you!!! >:U

Shard's the original metal sonic in the archie series, over time he develops his own personality and thoughts. After a fight with sonic and tails at a volcano (which shard set up), seeing tails wouldn't leave sonic's side as the volcano erupted, shard realized that there was more to life than being the most powerful.
He later joins the secret freedom fighters in an attempt to do good. (after being chiseled out from the cooled magma)Β
it's kinda like what omega did.
hope that sortof helped! it's missing a few bits here and there, but that's the gist of his story

I understand you at 100%! I hate and love Sonic#50, and Shard is my favorite comic character too! That's why i continue use him in my arts and fanfictions! And that's why i hate metal!

I know there's a fan comic where they start where sonic universe 50 left off called "Heroes Come Back" byΒ finikart here on Deviantart! They've only just started so Shard's still in recovery mode :< Still it's looking fantastic and is a worthy read!!
