Presenting my next project!
Between updates for The Adventures of Calvin 'Fire' Red, I will also be working on a short fan comic about some side characters from Star Wars The Force Awakens. This will of course be second priority, and probably just one large upload, but I am very enthusiastic about it!

I'm not yet sure about the title (as I still have to outline the story as a whole), but as you can see, it will be about Sidon Ithano, the Crimson Corsair. He's the pirate that was willing to take Finn with him, shortly before the First Order attacked Maz' castle. There's also a short story about him (The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku ).

The reason I'm doing this is because after the events of that short story, his crew was joined by Kix, who is the last Clone Trooper. This creates a lot of story opportunities. The rest of his crew (at least, those that didn't die on Penomah) also went pretty much undescribed (except for Quiggold, but he's an exception), so I'll have a lot of freedom as well.
Also, I want to make a serious™ comic. I know my teachers don't like The Adventures of Calvin 'Fire' Red, so I want to make something that's good in their eyes, something I can show to people in the business.

Then finally, this thing itself: it's a quick line up of Sidon Ithano's crew, aboard the Meson Martinet, after the events of The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku. As I said, Reveth and Squeaky are largeley undescribed, so that's all me for those two. For Kix I looked at how Rex and his mates and Finn dress after deserting.

EDIT: I discovered this Reveth artwork , by lorna-ka , and since I'm a sucker for making this fit into canon, I just couldn't live with myself if I didn't change my design. So, new version, with robot arm and damaged lekku, since Landry Q. Walker imagined her like that .

Tussen de updates voor The Adventures of Calvin 'Fire' Red ga ik hieraan werken: een korte fan-comic over een paar achtergrond personages uit Star Wars The Force Awakens. Dit is natuurlijk tweede prioriteit, en waarschijnlijk maar één grote upload, maar ik ben er wel heel enthousiast over!

Voor de titel heb ik nog niets (ik ben tenslotte nog niet eens begonnen met het verhaal in zijn geheel uit te denken), maar zoals je kan zien zal het gaan over Sidon Ithano, de Crimson Corsair. Hij is de ruimtepiraat die bereid is Finn mee te nemen, net voor The First Order Maz' kasteel aanvalt. Er is ook een kortverhaal over hem (The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku).

De reden dat ik dit wil doen is omdat na de gebeurtenissen van dat kortverhaal, Kix, de laatste Clone Trooper, deel is wordt van zijn crew. Dat zorgt voor een heleboel verhaalmogelijkheden, en de rest van de bemanning (degene die niet omkwamen op Penomah tenslotte) werden ook amper beschreven in dat kortverhaal (behalve Quiggold, maar dat is een uitzondering), dus ik heb ook relatief veel vrijheid.
Ik wil ook eens een serieuze™ strip maken. Ik weet dat mijn docenten The Adventures of Calvin 'Fire' Red maar niets vinden, en ik wil iets maken dat ook goed is in hun ogen, iets dat ik kan tonen aan mensen in de stripwereld.

En dan tenslotte, dit ding zelf: het is een snelle line up van de bemanning van Sidon Ithano, aan boord van van de Meson Martinet, na de gebeurtenissen van The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku.
