I've decided to try my hand at drawing pony. That god-awful profile on the top-right is what happens without references. The somewhat better sketches across the rest of the page are what happens when I do use references.

The bottom-right images are a sketch, then a sketch which I converted to a line drawing, of a custom vector by *Kna . The moment I first saw it I knew it was going to be the first pony I tried to copy a drawing of. There's something about the novelty of Lyra sitting like this that I really like. I can see where I went wrong in a few places, but hey, not bad for my first try.

The top-left sketch is of a Rarity drawing by *NekomataNibi . I drew it three days ago but I've already forgotten where I saw it in the first place. I may yet do a proper line drawing of this sketch, similar to my one for Lyra, in which case I'll update with that included. Hey look, I did that thing I said I might. And it turned out wonderfully, despite my completely amateur attempts at shading.
