On the a sneak peek clip where is on a plane. When the guy asked Bane if he would die if his mask comes off. What did Bane mean when he said that "it would be extremely painful...for you"?

maybe the gases would seep out and kill any one other then bane maybe the gas is bad for other ppl

actually, that last bit "for you" is when the other guys says "but you're a big guy!" & then bane replies, "for you." that's it.

This is personally how I wish Bane would appear in the movie: The creepy menace of that weird gas mask, coupled with the size and power of the comic book incarnation.
Tom Hardy just seems too damn small to be an intimidating Bane. Who knows, I could still be proven wrong.

i'm every bit confident nolan's up to something awesome. besides, i think all the other aspects of bane are more interesting than his strength - i think nolan will capitalize on bane's intelligence.

I can't believe people are whining about his voice. I could hear him perfectly fine in the prologue and trailer. Hey, we aren't whining about Bats's voice, now are we? We make fun of it and go along with it!

If he were this size in the film (while being more comic-accurate) would have looked a little odd next to the rest of the characters, even though this new Bane looks small compared to the comic Bane, by normal standards and the Nolan Batman film standards he is pretty big. Still lovin this pic.

Yeah! Think of this as what Nolan's Bane might look like in a Street Fighter game - could easily be a costume for Guile or Abel.

This is probably the first image I've ever seen of Nolan's Bane where I can say I feel he fully embodies what the character is supposed to be.

Well you have to keep in mind one thing: Christopher Nolan's interpretation of Batman is meant to be realistic. It's mean to be a vision of what Batman would be like if he existed in our world. So the idea of Bane's super steroid Venom which gives the user instant and dramatic muscle growth and strength is way too unrealistic. Besides...Christopher Nolan and Tom Hardy both guaranteed that what Bane lacks in size difference, he'll make up for with a fighting style completely based on one thing: carnage. From simple joint manipulation to snap somebody's wrist, to snapping somebody's neck or stomping somebody's shins or "tearing his fists through rib cages".

And the movie takes place 8 years after The Dark Knight so Bruce is older. It's also been implied through the teaser trailer that Bruce quit being Batman at some point so he's probably pretty rusty.

I don't mind anything like that... I just haven't seen anything yet that makes me truly feel "Oh yeah, this is Bane alright". Still, it's early days yet.

i gotta agree with you Clifftothemax. i like the idea that it is some kinda pain re leaver, but thats not bane. and thats it. im keeping an open mind about this but in all honesty saying he is being true to the character would be a complete lie.
