I will try. Been extra busy lately! What do you think you can't do?

Well, i am a beginning photoshop user, and i think that perfect blending is one of the hardest things to do in photoshop.

For example the water you have used left and right. In my opinion it blends perfectly with all your other objects. I would have no clue on how to accomplish that so nicely

It all just fits so perfectly, you cant see it where multiple images combined into one !

And i think on the net, there are just nog enough GOOD CLEAR tutorials that learns you that skill.

So i have to learn it by myself, and encounter and solve all the problems wich are already solved by many other persons like you

Perfect blending always comes down to using the right tools and the right elements. If the elements belong to each other in the first place, the blending becomes easier. Making you're own brushes, fractals and 3d renders helps a ton. Practice with different blending modes as well.

ofcourse that is easyer said then done

Making brushes, fractals, and 3drenders is one thing ofcourse

Understanding the coherence of those in relation to your objects is another. If you understand what i am trying to say here English is not my native langauge

I understand; however, you may not get that from a tutorial. Just start analyzing your favorite artists work break it down and try and duplicate it until you get it right. Don't put that work on DA though, just do that for practice. Practice is the most undervalued tool in my opinion. Push yourself to work extra hard on a design as well. Most people don't want to put in the hours. Spend a week on one piece, taking long breaks while going back to it periodically until you are happy with it.

Yes i really agree, but the hardest thing for me is to keep myself motivated to continue practicing on one piece when it is not going to where you want it to go. Would you mind giving me an insight in the stocks you have used to create this image ?

philipbrunner In reply to Predjee [2010-11-07 21:49:55 +0000 UTC]

Stay motivated. Take more breaks from that piece. Work on it in your head instead of at the computer sometimes.
I use my own stock, veer, [link] and right here on D.A. where there is plenty of awesome stock.

Now this is the most unusual fractal that I have ever seen. I love it though because it's so unique. it kind of reminds me of one of those baby faeries sleeping inside a flower...in a weird way. I like it.

philipbrunner In reply to midnight21 [2010-11-05 21:43:50 +0000 UTC]

It's a mix of fractals, painting and editing.
