This is a tale that tells the story of foolish and arrogant antiquarians and archaeologists who search for lost treasures, and one such treasure is one of the three lost crowns of East Anglia, which legendarily protect the country from invasion.
Lets just say upon digging up one of these crowns, things don't go very well for anyone that takes them, theses treasures have very serious and very lethal guardians!

Written a few years after the end of the First World War, "A Warning to the Curious" is one of M. R. James's bleakest stories and to be honest most of them are bleak!

Remember.... "No digging ere" !
