Description
On the 25th of December 1914 a Christmas truce happened between the soldiers of the British and German armies on the Western front in France. Channelling my inner L S Lowry I decided to try and depict this with a small acrylic landscape painting. Extra details on this event can be found here, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christma…
I'm not sure it turned out how I would of liked, you can't win them all.. but regardless, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy prosperous new year!

A pretty unexpected picture for the holiday of Christmas, but still in the domains of Christmas none the less.

I wasn't sure to upload it or not really. The Christmas truce did happen and there was a moments calm from the fighting, the generals did not like it one bit but the common soldiers put aside their differences for a moment of peace and goodwill. Its not quite turned out how I wanted but well can't have it all. Merry Christmas Boris!

No worries, like the soldiers did have some sense plus I do like how in hindsight the First World War was a crack of legitimacy of the Victorian Anglo Saxon Puritan and Old Order Property Tories among the home populations of a Imperial Britain. Celtic Country, Working Class Males, and First Wing Feminist who weren't Anarchist, Social Democrats, and Marxist Theorist even there wasn't any geo-political loots of the 1918 Versailles treaty.
