A ballerina study in soft pastels and charcoal. A3 size on tinted pastel paper. Soft pastels and ridged pastel paper I've always struggled with, I feel this attempt is a bit experimental but fairly successful overall. I've not done much full figure drawing before and this was the second try at this pose, the first attempt lacked a bit of solidity for want of a better word. I played around with various colours on the background before starting the main figure and this lead to nice colour combinations when adding the whites of the dress.
