Description
Severine finally makes the fateful decision to pay Madam Anais a visit..I used an old japanese film poster for a reference didn't have much detail to go on but the profile was strong (in the poster).
I added my own background depicting a scene from the 1967 film Belle de Jour, as its Autumn/Winter decided to add some falling leaves for artistic purposes
I did a rough sketch at first in pencil then used pastel pencils to add some colour and take me out of my comfort zone haha. This drawing is on A4 bristol smooth, I used picasa to give more contrast and add a border plus gimp to clean up the scan and make minor corrections.

Well I do say the backdrop you chosen for the model does blend in pretty for her environment that's for sure.

Beautiful! I really like it! Very soft style. I recommend you watch these movies: Tristana (1970) and Les parapluies der Cherbourg (1964).

This is so beautiful. I like the use of color in this. It really adds to the drama of the piece. And the expression on her face imparts so much meaning. Amazing work.
