Today I went to Lisbon to take some photos, I wanted to explore this train station a bit more (Gare do Oriente). I didn´t take many photos there, so probably I´ll be there again pretty soon.I was stunned by this architecture. The strait lines plus the well balanced curves combining with an enormous amount of color tones... I had to shoot it!
Taking a couple of photos, when suddenly a man appears in front of my lens... he was walking from the light to the interior of the station, I had about 5 photos of him approaching me and my camera, but the first one (this one) was the one I liked the most. It reminds me of a extraterrestrial movie, when the door of the spaceship opens and a shadow comes out from the inside. That´s why I chose this tittle.
Unfortunately, I used a very high ISO value, because it was really dark inside, so I got a bit of noise in this photo.

As opiniões dividem-se... ha quem prefira a preto e branco pk causa mais impacto, outros pk como tu gostaram das cores e dos diferentes tons que consegui ir buscar... eu fico no intermédio...gosto das duas, cada uma pelas suas razões. Thanks pelo comment

This is a nice shot, well composed.
It is indeed a beautiful place and this is the first shot I've seen in this location - most people photograph the tunnel beneath the bus station.
Sadly security don't like people using tripods down here (I've been asked to stop a couple of times) so you're forced to use high ISO and handheld.
This has come out really well, and apart from the blur or loss of resolution in the downstairs escalators, it's pretty sharp.

I forgot my tripod, but even if I did remember it, the security guys would probably be all around me. I indeed have to explore a bit more Gare do Oriente.

I went there last wednesday...pretty cool place indeed. I've been standing on the same place as you did
Anyway, your picture worked out very well! Mine are different... I wish i could go back and take more pictures, cause there is so much to capture that it's sometimes difficult to make the "perfect" shot. (for me that is).
I'm eager to see more pictures of you of the Oriente station!
