Description
I don´t have much free time now, but I try to grab my camera at the weekends and explore my nearby area. This one brings nothing new to what you have seen from me, but the sky was so beautiful that I had to stay there a bit and get myself wet a couple of times.
One thing I´ve learn doing this kind of photography is that is always good to protect your camera from the weather conditions and the sea water. I´ve wrapped my camera and lens with a transparent plastic bag, the ones that come with some magazines. This way, and with a UV protection filter, my camera and my sigma are always protected, from rain, sea water, sand etc etc.
I used a GND8 from cokin p series and a normal ND4. Both held by hand because I ordered the wrong filter holder adapter from ebay (72mm instead of 77 for my 10-20). I´m waiting for the right one to come.
I could have given a better post treatment to this one, because the middle is too bright and there are some water drops in the UV filter that appear on the photo... but I don´t have too much patience right now... Don´t know if it´s the cold weather, but I´m too lazy today
Canon EOS 350D
Sigma 10-20
10mm focal length
Exposure time: 2.5"
F number: 22
ISO:100
Shot in RAW, converted to JPEG on canon software

Stunning work, I absolutely love the rule of thirds here too. And the lighting. And the texture. And just about everything else. Perfect, you just nailed this shot. Need I say more?

Love the vanishing point effect in this picture my friend..
the overall softness and variety of textures are marvellous..
but do try taking photographs without the central horizon composition
it will give much more impact to your image

Thanks mate. I do understand your point of view... Usually my photos follow the tecnique you´ve described... But since the "remains2" onle of my latest works, I´ve decided to use the central horizon. Of corse I only use the central horizon if the photo gains something with it. In this case I think it doesen´t damage the photo.

not at all my friend - no damage has been done - its only a suggestion to try for your next photo sessions

Great work and amazing light. I'm curious was this a stitched image or did you crop it?

I have crop it The photo was taken yesterday (Saturday) and that place was filled with people, some couples or fishermen. At the left side above that rock was a fisherman and two guys also taking photos so I decided to remove them from the image
Glad you liked it my friend

It's amazing how a photographer can make a place look so peaceful and empty when in reality it's a very popular location. Again great work.
