Description
Animal morphing is a really fun thing to do that lets you create new creatures. Just think of some animals that you would like to morph and give it a try. For my new image βSphinphantoctusβ I used these images. Thanks a lot to the people who let me use their source images

He is a Lovecraftian deity, Google him to see what he looks like, he rules!

I am open to critical feedback. But it would be nice if it would be constructive and not just.

Ok. I'll try to describe the problem. (My english is poor so forgive me for mistakes).
Look at his back, at the texture of skin. Skin is shrivelled and we see it sharp and clearly without highligts and shining.
Then look on top of his eye. There is huge highlight. This surface have the same direction to light. But it covered with another light. So I see different details and different light sources.
Look on his stomach. It is pretty dark. Also there is no bright light sources on the ground. So why tentacles are so bright and illuminated everywhere?
And now we can look to the background landscape. Sun is not high, probably it is evening. Sun is somwhere up and right (look on the shadows on mountains). It is direct warm light and diffused light from blue sky.
So WHY creature have no fallen shadow and have white highlights?
No I can say the same that I said before: light is totally failed.

Thanks a lot that you took some time to write this feedback. I appreciate it.
I agree that the tentacles seem to have a slightly different light source then the rest of the animals. Actually I wanted that they look kind of wet. But probably I failed on this. Will correct this. But the creature does have a fallen shadow, as the light is soft it gives also a soft shadow.

Yea, I thought about this (that you want to show slick tentacles).
But light still have direction at least for two lightsources: sun (direct, hard, bright, yello-white) and sky (soft, diffuse, grey-blue-grue). Also sunlight can reflect from water and ground directly and soflty from sky.
Here basic scheme for two: [link]
blue for sky and yellow for sun.

Thanks once more that you took the time for this drawing.
But I would doubt that the skylight is visible on a dark skin like this. Especially as the sky is cloudy.

Highligts will be visible there, where tentacles are wet and can reflect it strong.
Also try to correct common colour tone. Now animal is grey. But in those environment it will be warm-grey and cold-grey.
