Description
UPDATED FACE:ΒName: Bernadette Ann Cambrige
Nicknames: Lady Monopoly (given to her by her employees)
Gender: Female
Species: animate corpse/spirit
Occupation: used to own a lumber mill
Weapon: Collier Flintlock Revolvers
Personality: vicious, clever, brutal, elegant, polite, wistful, will get obsessed with killing her victims and is very hostile and emotionally unstable when she's in the zone
Age: looks 35 but is actually 184
Sexual orientation: heterosexual and will always be single
Killing Motive:
- She kills young girls and their parents and then attempts to "adopt" her new child. Usually she finds that her daughters "love her more when they don't breathe" because they can't run away from her. She will spend a short time with her new dead daughter, pretending she is alive until she realizes that she is once again dissatisfied with her child. Then she discards the body and seeks out a new daughter, making the cycle restart.
- a side benefit is that she can steal people's valuables in the process of her murders.
- she will seldom leave mothers alive so they can feel the sorrow she did when her daughter and husband died.
Family:
-Robert Cambrige: husband, deceased
- Susanna Cambrige: daughter, deceased
Abilities:
-can hover in the air, but drops to the ground at random (she can't control this)
-because she has no legs, she has to drag herself across the ground using her arms
- when attacking, her jaw drops, (only hanging on by a little bit of muscle tissue or something) and strange black liquid drips from it (I call it Dead People Juice)
- she is skilled at using her revolvers, not often missing her target
- always shoots people in the back of the throat, and always using gold bullets.
Hobbies:
-she plays piano
- she often takes her victims valuable possessions, just so she can stash them places
- of course she likes murder
Habits:
- hoarding money and jewelry
- her jaw sometimes drops at random moments, occasionally falling off entirely, but it can be reattatched
- nicknames for people:
Darling- means she's about to murder them
Dear- means she really likes them
Dearest- means shes playing with their emotions or is about to torture them
- she stalks her victims relentlessly, trying to contact them by moving in the walls and tapping on them as well as looking through holes in the walls.
- she watches her new daughters very carefully, analyzing their behavior so that she knows best when to "introduce herself".
Other: She was also born with slight facial deformations, (one eye slightly higher than the other) but when teased or mocked because of it, would always retort verbally and strongly, demonstrating her authority.
- to keep her jaw from falling off, she sewed it to her face. Unfortunately, the threads were loose because she isn't the best at sewing, so her jaw falls.
- Bernadette hides her daughter's bodies in the walls and sealed off rooms in her house. She also hides in these places.
Background:
Bernadette was born into a rich family in England, in the 1800's. Her mother died during childbirth, so she was raised by her
father (he was tough on her sometimes, but they had a good relationship). She grew up normally and was married to Robert
Cambrige who was the owner of a lumber mill in Liverpool. Together, they had a daughter named Susanna. Unfortunately, Robert
became deathly sick with cholera. He died soon after, leaving his lumber mill to his wife. Now in charge of the lumber mill,
Bernadette began having a hard time controlling her negative emotions that had been caused by her husband's death, her
enormous responsibilities, and the criticism she got because she was a woman running a company. She bottled all of these feelings
up, not wanting her daughter or the public to see how out of control she was. Due to this, she eventually became cruel and
seemingly emotionless, treating her factory workers with extreme cruelty and not even wearing black to mourn her husband. She
became very protective of her daughter, but despite her efforts, Susanna was almost murdered by one of Bernadette's employees who broke into her isolated house by the sea and had a knife to her daughter's throat.
The employee was a teenage boy who wanted to avenge his father who had been viciously injured by one of the machines in the lumber mill and was fired by Bernadette who also gave him so sympathy or compensation. In her fury,
Susanna's mother shot the boy, killing him and threw his body in the ocean. She became even more protective of her daughter, to the point where Susanna was
forbidden to leave her room. Susanna, completely shattered after watching her father die, and watching her mother commit
murder, jumped off of the roof of their mansion, killing herself. Bernadette was devastated, and in her sorrow became even more
cruel and heartless. Soon her wealth became her only consolation and "friend". One day at the factory, Bernadette's employees
gave her a taste of her own medicine. The gave her quite a beat-up, breaking her legs off above the knees, breaking her jaw with a
chair, and slamming her head into a circular blade on one of the machines in the factory. Her corpse was thrown into the ocean near her home. For years, she stayed there until she
became possessed by her own spirit, floated up to the surface and dragged herself onto the shore. Her house was inhabited by a
family of three who reminded her much of her own. Overcome with a desire to have her daughter back, she killed the parents and
tried to "adopt" their daughter. Unfortunately for her, her new daughter was scared to death of her. Overcome with fury, she
killed her and soon discovered that her corpse loved her more and wouldn't try to get away from her. This dead body became her
new child, but she soon grew unsatisfied with the empty space inside of her that they couldn't fill. So she now waits in the attic
and in the walls for a new daughter to make hers.
