Thanks, I have to admit I cheated a bit there: The whole image was pretty sharp and I duplicated it to another layer, blurred the new layer, set opacity to about 50% so the sharp image came through. Then I erased the blured image over her eyes. This hasn't made them any sharper than thery were, but they appear sharper, because of the contrast wit the rest of the frame.
