Snoffy(sleepily): what's mama doing?

Ekon(kindly): she's preparing for hallow's eve.

S: ohh ok...*silence*....why doesn't she wants to switch on the lights? It's dark...the lamp's pretty...

E:...Ive heard her tell Asani that this wards off evil since they won't find us if they can't see us...and that she was stupid for believing that and should just sleep...Wilhelm agreed about sleeping earlier. They're worried about her.

S: Asani's mean...but nice...i like him and ....why does mama not want to go to sleep? mama stays up late a lot....

E: ah well it's because sometimes she doesn't like her dreams since her power brings light to not exactly wonderful things...

S: ohh mama has nightmares...*yawns* i'm sleepy but mama is still awake...

E: It's ok Snoffy...rest. I'll protect Annis do not worry.

S: okie...gh nigh...*sleeps*

(Annis continues working, sewing in a rune of protection into the cloth)

A(whispers to herself):...I hope nothing happens this year

Well this was a night teeming with tension ^^

If u were wondering this is Annis's living room and behind her is the collection of sharp objects she has, and she's kneeling on the ground

at first I only wanted to submit the sketch version www.deviantart.com/phioai/art/…

but then decided to use clip to edit it to make a clearer image of what i was imagining

Also this is the first appearance of Ekon! the newly bought falcon!
