Yeah, yeah, original title, I know. ^_^ Nehoo, I just got this book "Anatomy for the Fantasy Artist" and that's one of the poses in there...I'll be changing the face and clothes (actually, already have, since I scanned this in yesterday ^_^) to make it somewhat my own...and the hand wasn't originally holding a knife. Basically it's just practice, and later I'll use it as practice for coloring.Related content

I really like the way you got this pose done (even if you did get the idea from a book, that's where we all learn first right?), it looks as though you've got this guy waiting for something ... or he's taking a second to plan his attack before actually pouncing someone. His proportioning looks right but ... shouldn't he have a line from the bottom of his ear to make a neck? Again, great capture of the pose, it looks really great! ^_^
PS - Is the Author for this fantasy book of anatomy, Glenn Farby? How do you like his book as opposed to other "Fantasy" anatomy/concept books?
Spankies ^_^!!

Not too long of an explanation at all! 'sides, the more you tell me the less I have to ask you ta clarify ^_^! What's this wandering animator you speak of? Are you getting into freelance stuff for random companies (and if so, awesome!)? I'll definately have to check out that linky thing you put in your post but truth be told, I want to take a break from drawing for a bit (as if it hasn't been long enoug already -.-) because I'm trying to research some FLASH how to's and make some sort of interactive desktop thinggy, we'll see how that goes.
Thanks for respondin' to my post and I'm sorry It's taken me this long to get back to you, I don't check this site often because I'm just too damn lazy.

Umm...maybe? I honestly don't remember...it's been a long time since I drew it, and I haven't really had a chance to look at the book since. >< And I still have trouble with the head attaching to the shoulders at weird angles thing. But thank you for the comment! It's much appreciated...especially because it's just a piece in my scraps, which is usually overlooked. Since you're awesome you get a hug! *huggles*
As for who the author is, I don't remember, and I can't look at it cos I'm in the process of moving and it's in a box...probably won't get taken out until I go back to school in the fall. But it's purple, softbound, and has pics of a male and a female model in different fantasy poses, different lighting, etc, and goes through some of the typical fantasy characters. But I can't really compare anything to it...I haven't really looked at many, much less bought them...I'm a poor college student paying my own way through school. Heh...my art book collection consists of the fantasy book, Anatomy for Arists by Joseph Sheppard (totally awesome book), and some guide to drawing animals by Ken...Hurtz I think. It's a Dover book, many of which are cheap and decent resources. ^_^ But yeah...I just remember it seeming really awesome compared to what else was at Borders, but still affordable. If you like concept arty stuff though, [link] is like THE place to be...there's pros from all around the world who have been doing this for YEARS that post. It's an awesome place.
Heh...I hope that answer wasn't too long, I tend to talk a lot. ;;
