With the sun beginning to shine brighter each day, and the thought of cool beaches and time in the water tantalizes us more and more, those who dwell in the ocean make their appearance more frequently, helping a stray Crederian who was swept too far from shore, or collecting a lost item from the seafloor. Whatever the reason may be, these merbabs have come from their watery homes to spend some time in the sun!

Hello! After a large and tumultuous hiatus i am back and prepped to get some work done. I made a lot of big changes to myself, how i work, and have been on a pace to update people who are currently waiting on customs and commissions. At the moment i am knee deep in a rework of most of my species, with traits, lore, and arpg mechanics being developed. It's slow, and will continue to be slow, but i hope there is space for me to try and revive what i put on hold for so long. In between i am going to be sending out more updates, and i hope i can be quick in doing so.

If you're interested in following the journey, and for sneak peeks of traits, designs, and the like, i'm currently active in the Crederia Discord ! I am also open to species/world questions. Eclipse has been a whirlwind of confusion for me, so the majority of updates will be made in the discord!

Abyssal Hunter concept

The Ancient Scale of the Ivory Serpent
The ocean is home to all manner of life, vibrant and glimmering, creatures making their homes in the comforting waves. Travel deeper, and deeper, down into the depths of the abyss, where the light may no longer reach, and you'll find yourself lost in the murky waters. A single creature slithers through, a patch of ivory scales visible, faintly glowing as they get closer.

The ivory serpent, an ancient being, guided those who found themselves lost in the dark waters, exchanging favors with lost travelers in order to find a way back to the surface, or at least, that's what the stories said. It had been long since a tale of this creature had been brought up, ever since the waters churned with the poison of the miasma, travelling to the depths below was rare, everyone more wary of getting caught in an infected current.

A lone beast swims through the abyss, coat as murky as the water surrounding it. It comes across curious ruins, quiet, abandoned. Something glimmers beneath the settled dust and debris… a speck of light persists.

As their claws meet the scale, its dim glow brightens, brighter and brighter until the beast cannot open its eyes any longer. When it dissipates, its surroundings are much clearer, able to make out the corridors and windows of this building that were shrouded in darkness before.

A gift, a clarity in the dark waters, the ancient scale of the ivory serpent has found a bearer.

In the depths of the ruin, an ivory tail disappears deeper.
