Now that's a great song. I'm not huge into Led Zeppelin(or really any bands from that era), but that one's awesome.

Yeah, Viking culture and history is really interesting.
Since you're into metal(and possibly by extension punk music), you should check out the movie 'Green Room'. It's brilliant, and full of the metal music I gravitate towards.

but seriously though , do you understand what i was getting at with the whole thing about comparing the rampage monsters to the vikings

I mean, if you're referring to Viking and Norse mythology, bringing about ragnarok and whatnot, than I guess I understand what you're getting at.
You might be overthinking it though, Rampage is just a arcade game inspired by Godzilla and King Kong movies, but with none of Gojira's social or political commentary.

What, just to destroy, loot and pillage? That's what every civilization on the Earth has been doing for millennia, it's not just exclusive to the Vikings, haha.

well , except for the eating people and the worship of gods , the similarities of the vikings and the rampage monsters are pretty spot on

The Amon Amarth one? That one is leaning more in the direction of the type of Metal I listen to, while the music of bands like Gwar is not really my cup of tea.

It feels a little too stadium rock-ish, a bit too cartoony and kinda gives off that dated 80's metal vibe to me. If you love it, more power to you, it's just personally not my thing.
I've just never liked a whole lot of rock music from the 70's and 80's. I myself am more into industrial and ambient electronic music from the 90's, like Aphex Twin or LFO, horrorcore stuff like Perturbator, or different hip hop acts like Del the Funky Homosapien or Death Grips(which combines all of the above).

there's 1 form of music that's the worst of them all : pop

Eh, I hate stadium country the most. Most pop is vapid drivel, but they still often have catchy melodies. But hey, people are allowed to like that stuff, I've got no problem with that.

I understand it even if I don't personally like it- it's catchy, easily digestible and completely unchallenging. People generally gravitate towards stuff that's predictable and stable, and that's totally fine. Plenty of incredibly talented musicians like Michael Jackson made their career out of pop, it's just another genre that isn't objectively better or worse than any other, every genre has crap and and every genre has their gems.

That's a very broad assumption you're making. You can't claim to have listened to all of the metal music ever created. There isn't enough time in one's life to listen to everything and make such an absolute claim.
