Description
DL for full size! Now presenting The Suits.
Backstory:
The Full Deck was a guild of assassins and mercenaries for hire. It was divided into four suits:Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades. The four groups were all allied before the Spades broke off and wanted more power. The remaining groups split up and scattered, but are still mutually acquainted with each other.
The Hearts:
Queen and King- Tanith and Baruk, Jack- Toral, Ace- Artaxes.
The Hearts were usually hired for the adaptability in very hot temperatures, this allowed them to carry out assassinations on hotter planets. They are now on the run from the Spades since Blacklung(the Ace of Spades) wants Artaxes killed.
The Clubs:
Jack-Tank, Queen-Devon, King-Hektrobestos, Ace-Anobasis.
The Clubs had the heavy firepower, and were usually hired as mercenaries. Tank is rogue police force cyborg originally intended for riot control. He replaced his weak tear gas shooter with a high powered plasma cannon, and installed a ramrod underneath for close combat. Devon and Hektrobestos are both marines and met Phisto, another mercenary in one of their wars. Devon is the ex-girlfriend of Phisto. Not much known about Anobasis, but he has going missing and has been presumably captured or killed by the Spades.
The Diamonds:
Jack-Mukesh, Queen-Katenka, King-Biohazard, Ace-Ivik.
The diamonds were usually hired for jobs that required very high-tech devices and weaponry. Mukesh is a former security android.Katenka is mostly apprehensive about the what the group does, but she is mostly used for retrieving valuable and difficult to obtain substances that Ivik is able to use in producing different devices and weapons. Ivik is a mastermind scientist, and as a symbiote, he chose to attach himself to government model enforcer tank.
The Spades:
Jack-Bonerot, Queen-Night(and Dei), King-Frostbite, Ace-Blacklung.
The spades were usually hired for the most dirty work. They enjoyed their job so much(except Night), they have turned into murdering psychopaths.
Bonerot is Blacklung's mindless personal bodyguard. Night broke off from the spades and is being hunted by the rest of her former group, she wears an earring that is possessed by an ancient warrior of the sun named Dei. Frostbite was the ruthless emperor of a frozen nation, but was exiled to the wastelands by his own people. He froze over and was discovered almost 300 years later by expeditionaries. Blacklung is able to emit a deadly neuro-toxic gas that is expelled through every hole in his skin. He has a bitter hatred toward Artaxes and Night.

Phobos-Romulus In reply to ??? [2011-03-26 04:19:26 +0000 UTC]
Naw, but I'd love to develop it into a comic or something similar one day! I'm currently developing another comic that has less characters, and if that goes well, I'd definitely give these guys a shot!
Thanks for showing interest!

NP! What's this other comic you speak of?
Also, are all of the characters in this pic antagonists or is there a protagonist somewhere among these guys?

Here's a pic that inspired me to star a comic:
[link]
It will basically be about cyborg wrestling, but a couple of the wrestlers want to escape, since they're forced to fight like gladiators.
Eh, I would say that there are protagonists within the antagonists. By profession, they would all be bad guys, but most of them are on the run from the baddest guys, which are the spades. But if there were one pure protagonist, it would be Night and Dei(The Queen of Spades), since she broke off from the group.

Ah, interesting. I'm hardly fond of the black and black morality thing though...

Yeah, these character still need a lot of fleshing out to be done.

Ah, well I hope you can get them fleshed out then!
I actually notice your quite a fan of Tank though out of all of them

Ah, nice. I've always gotten the feeling he was the closest thing you had to a protagonist (i like to use the words "protagonist" and "hero" separately)

Haha, yeah, maybe! He would definitely be quite different for a protagonist!

StarGamerWorld In reply to Phobos-Romulus [2011-03-27 22:34:44 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I'm sure he would! The thing I like about protagonists though, is that they're at least a bit sympathize and likable in a way. It's really hard to get in a series where neither of those work for a protagonist.
Might you have something like that for Tank? I'd like to know about it.

Phobos-Romulus In reply to StarGamerWorld [2011-03-28 15:53:45 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, don't know. Tank doesn't come across as a very sympathetic character. But once again, I still have to flesh everyone out.

StarGamerWorld In reply to Phobos-Romulus [2011-03-28 20:33:58 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, who knows? I'd love to see one of the characters with massive destruction (and perhaps durability) as the protagonist so long as they're still a bit sympathize and likable in a way (and by likable, it can also mean "bats*** crazy" so long as it comes off enjoyable to read )
So about your cyborg-ish mutant wrestling comic, what else do you might have of it?

Phobos-Romulus In reply to StarGamerWorld [2011-03-28 22:58:43 +0000 UTC]
The robot comic involves an old Character of mine named Dreggen(who has been redesigned and repurposed 7 times or so) and another cyborg named Prometheus(the big purple dude in the link I showed you) fighting together in a gladiatorial arena, but then wanting to escape from their master. I have much more worked out than that, but I don't want to give away the details. I'm hoping to possibly get it proposed to Dark Horse comics.

Ah, okay. Well I'd love to see more of the characters and comic pages sometime!
In other discussion, might you have any undead characters? Or even superhero characters?

Phobos-Romulus In reply to StarGamerWorld [2011-03-28 23:14:54 +0000 UTC]
Bonerot and Blacklung are undead.
I have a couple more here:
[link]
Experiments 2,3, and 6 are undead. While 5 and 10 are ghosts.
I probably have a couple of superheroes, but they haven't shown up on here yet. Thanks again for showing so much interest in my characters!

Wow that's awesome! TBH I love monstrous superheroes, I have one myself if you haven't checked him out yet. Ever had the idea of turning one of those experiments into a superhero? I think Evro would make a pretty cool one

That's really awesome! I'm really into this concept of the assassins, I also love the sci fi! What program do you use? Or is this done by hand?

Phobos-Romulus In reply to LightningBlitz-Kid [2010-10-29 06:15:18 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, had the idea for a while now!
This one is completely photoshop, but I mostly prefer to use photoshop to color my hand-drawn pencil drawings, like my recent pic called "Incubation".

LightningBlitz-Kid In reply to Phobos-Romulus [2010-10-29 14:01:27 +0000 UTC]
Ah, that's cool! I love how you use photoshop so effectively. I get frustrated with it sometimes. So is most of your pics hand drawn then colored? Or are they mostly done in photoshop? I love your line art by the way.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Phobos-Romulus In reply to LightningBlitz-Kid [2010-10-29 16:53:20 +0000 UTC]
This one's lineart was done in photoshop, so this picture is 100% digital.
But most of my work has traditional pencils underneath, like this one.
[link]
And the pencil drawing usually looks something like this:

Thanks again, any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
