This is honestly one of, my favorite pieces of Metroid fan-art I have EVER seen and that is quite an accomplishment because not only have I seen billions in my life but the majority of them are just remarkable. I love it so goshdarn much, gives off a perfect Alien vibe which I can tell immediately was purely intentional. The lighting and color pallet is fantastic, and your dust particle effects in the light emnating from the arm cannon are great dude, that coupled with the lens flare is without a doubt my favorite part of the piece. Then comes the way you rendered her face within the visor. I also might add that I like how she's got a blocky appearance and is reminiscent of her very old-school Power Suit design which really adds to that aforementioned Alien vibe giving it age.

I've always preferred the power suit, always seemed more practical looking to me. And thanks for the comparisons to Alien, that's what I was going for, and it also happens to be my all time favorite film.

I like how you painted the light; it gives the impression that it may be smoky or foggy where Samus is.

Yeah, I thought of how whenever someone uses a flashlight, there's always illuminated particles of dust and stuff floating in the air.

Nice one! I'm getting a cool Alien/Prometheus vibe from this. And I like how you painted your own lens flare instead of just instantly throwing one on with photoshop or whatever program you use (Which is what I used to do, but not anymore). Nice work on her face too.

I think Metroid could be a really great anime film in the style of Ghost in the Shell. That's the only way I could say it being any good.

Yeah, probably yes. Sadly, to me a good Metroid film should not have any human characters besides Samus, and that could be... kinda boring to some people. Okay maybe only at the intro/end?

Yeah, not too sure. As long as the film has enough action or suspense, lack of characters might not detract too much.
Yeah, at the beginning, you could have her being sent off to her mission or whatever. And if absolutely necessary, should could have some kind of intercom system to keep her in contact with The Galactic Federation(?).

Y'know, I'm not the biggest fan of the Prime games either. I can appreciate that they're well made, but I think the FPS format just totally raped what was original about the first games.
