I love this film, and your art reflects it perfectly! The desolate buildings, the unspoken communication between the men on opposing sides, the dreary colors... I hated that the men never saw each other again after the war...so thank you for making this amazing art. ^_^

what a wonderful rendition of an otherwise god awful film. There's such a brilliant amount of emotional content that most artists fail to convey in this world that is deviantart. The drawing style is also beautifully done with such subtlety. I am in awe of this piece.

I just saw this movie a few weeks ago for the first time and it was awe-inspiring and powerful. The same can be said about this lovely piece. Stunningly beautiful with powerful, human expression. You not only caught the feelings portrayed in the movie, but the feelings of a stranded soul seeking refuge from the destruction around him. This is thanks to your choice of composition, which is both original and interesting, especially how the buildings in the background slowly fade away. Wonderful work.
